AUTHOR GUIDE:
Preparing a Paper for the Electronic Journal of JISSH
Abstract
The Abstract should summarize the content of the paper, Try to keep the abstract below 250 words. Do not have
references or displayed equations in the abstract. It is imperative that the margins and style describe below be
adhered to carefully. This will enable us to maintain uniformity in the final printed copies of the Journal. Papers
not made according these guidelines will not be published although its content has been accepted for publication.

Abstrak
Abstrak harus menyarikan isi dari artikel dengan jumlah maksimal 250 kata. Di dalam abstrak tidak diperkenakan untuk
menampilkan refernsi atau persamaan. Penting untuk memperhatikan dan menaati marjin dan gaya sesuai dengan ketentuan.
Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk menyeragamkan hasil cetak dari jurnal. Artikel yang tidak mengikuti panduan penulisan tidak
akan diterbitkan meskipun isinya berpotensi dan diterima untuk dipublikasikan. Bentuk artikel adalah prasyarat utama untuk
publikasi, termasuk juga di dalamnya isi artikel.

INTRODUCTION
The next must be in English. Authors whose English language is not their own are certainly requested to have their
manuscripts checked (or co-authored) by an English native speaker, for linguistic correctness before submission
and in its final version, if changes had been made to the initial version. The submitted typeset scripts of each
contribution must be in their final form and of good appearance because they will be printed directly. The
document you are reading is written in the format that should be used on your paper.
This document is set in 12-point Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing, no spacing between paragraphs and
printed using A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm).
Manuscript should be written in English using in-text citation adhered to 6th Edition of American
Psychological Association (APA Style) and accompanied by abstract in Bahasa and English. Any consistent spelling
and punctuation styles may be used. Please single quotation marks, except where „a quotation is “within” a
quotation‟. Log quotations of 40 words or more should be indented without quotation marks. A typical
manuscript will be 5,000 – 8,000 words and will not exceed 8,000 words, including tables, reference, captions, and
footnote. Only for research summary and book review, they have no more than 5,000 and 1,500 words
respectively. Manuscript prepared in the following: cover page, title with abstract as well as keywords, Introduction

Discussion, Conclusion, and Recommendation (optional).
HEADINGS
Major headings are be as the above heading (left spaces), in a bold font, capital, without underline, and no need to
be numbered. "HEADINGS" at the top of this paragraph is a major heading.
Subheadings
Subheadings should be as the above heading "Subheadings". They should type in bold, without underline, and on
a separate line.
Sub-subheadings
Sub-subheadings should be as the above: bold, italic, without underline, and on a separate line.
Sub-sub-subheadings
Sub-sub-subheadings should be as the above: italic, without underline, and on a separate line.
Title: The title should be centered across the top of the first page and should have a distinctive 18-points font size.
It should be in capital-italic for major title and italic for sub-title.
Authors' Names, Addresses and Acknowledgments of the manuscript should be set as footnotes. The footnotes are
set in 10-point Times New Roman, 1 spacing, no spacing after paragraphs, and italic for the email address.
Acknowledgment is an optional and inserts after the name of the first writer if the manuscript is written by many
writers. The preferred spelling of the word "acknowledgment" in American English is without an "e" after the "g."
Avoid expressions such as "One of us (S.B.A.) would like to thank..." Instead, write "F.A. Author thanks..." Sponsor
and financial support acknowledgments are also placed here.
Keywords: From 3 to 5 keywords should follow the abstract (as a subheading: Keywords, of the abstract).
All halftone illustrations or pictures can be black and white and/or colored. Supply the best quality illustrations or
pictures possible.

TRASLITERATION
Transliteration of Arabic words should follow the style indicated in ROTAS Transliteration Kit as detailed on
website (http://rotas.iiu.edu.my), which is a proper use and a slight modification of ALA-LC (library of Congress
and the American Library Association) transliteration scheme.
CONCLUSIONS
The better your paper looks, the better the Journal looks. Thanks for your cooperation and contribution.
Appendix
Appendixes, if needed, appear before the acknowledgment.
Please supply all details required by any funding and grant-awarding bodies as an Acknowledgement in a separate
section before the Reference, as follows:
a. For single agency grants: ‟This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under grant [number xxxx].‟
b. For multiple agency grants: ‟This work was supported by the [Funding Agency 1] under grant [number xxxx];
and [Funding Agency 2] under grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency 3] under grant [number xxxx].‟
REFERENCES
JISSH journal recommend that every manuscript should have at least 20 references. Submissions for review must
be prepared according to the 6th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
