Planning for Learning

Has completed lesson plan for every lesson, printed and available to MST and MCT upon request
Ensures lesson plans have sufficient detail to secure effective delivery
Includes clear and appropriate learning objectives
Lesson plans include a range of relevant, engaging activities
Comments:

Fatima has shown to really take the upper hand when planning for her sessions and making her
observations. She delivers exactly what she states in her plans and shares with the children what
her objectives are. Fatima is also able to effectively set up the classroom to challenge the children
in the class.

Managing Learning
Implement a range of classroom routines
Comments:

Fatima quickly adapted to the routines followed in the classroom and took this into consideration
when planning for sessions. She has also very thoroughly observed these routines and follows
them consistently.
Implementing Learning
Presents material which is accurate, meaningful and accessible to support student engagement and learning
Implements learning centres/ student-centred work which engages learners & secures learning
Instructions are clear & concise
Comments:

Fatima has shown that she is able to provide children with the necessary resources to support
them with their learning. Learning centers are always set up and ready for children to access –
before children are sent to pick out activities of their choice, they are informed of the guidelines
and rules they must abide by within the classroom setting.

Assessment
Designs & implements simple diagnostic assessment (possibly through questions or a classroom task)
Comments:

The most evident kind of assessment I have witness Fatima implement Is oral assessments on a
daily basis during circle time and other classroom activities.

Reflection on Practice
Asks a range of questions to guide reflections on her classroom practice
Comments:

Throughout Fatima’s time in my classroom, she has made changes in her plans and asked for
advice whenever necessary to make her planning document more effective for the children in her
care. She has shown concern for each child individually and is able to make individual learning
plans for each one based on their learning capacity/learning style and behaviours.
