Event Summary
 A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for NC counties beginning Saturday
afternoon/evening.
 High confidence continues that a significant winter storm will impact portions of
the region this weekend and possibly continuing into early next week.

 Periods of moderate to heavy rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow likely. Multiple
changes in precipitation type continue to be possible as the system nears the
area.
 **Important** Snowfall and ice accumulation locations and amounts are highly
subject to change over the next 24 to 48 hours given any variability in track and
temperatures or strength of the winter storm.

 The greatest impacts are most likely along and north of the I-85 corridor, though
potential increasing for icy conditions south of the I-85 corridor.
 The details for this winter storm and its potential impacts will become
increasingly more defined in the next 24 to 48 hours.
