· Summer day camp program sponsored and located at the Canandaigua YMCA. Located in the fourth
and fifth grade group of campers, working with three other counselors. Leading or assisting with team
bonding games, as well as physical education, science and art activities.

· Studying alongside a special education teacher in an ASD special education program for fifth and sixth
graders. Providing one-on-one instruction to students in a resource room setting, pushing into general

· Assisting in program development and implementation of an art therapy program for individuals with
Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Designing an Autism Awareness event at Community Arts of Elmira in
conjunction with Elmira’s Employment Solutions. Brainstorming six sensory art activities for children
with autism to complete with their families. Currently developing an art curriculum for homeschooled
children, grades k-12 using GoogleDocs.
FIELD EXPERIENCE | CHEMUNG COUNTY HEAD START | SEPTEMBER 2017- APRIL 2018
· Working alongside the head and assistant teachers in a classroom for 3-4-year-olds coming from low-
income families. Helping to set up and run interactive learning activities. Aid children in learning about
letters, numbers, colors, problem-solving, and how to work with peers.

· Responsible for caring for an adolescent on the Autism spectrum. Assisting the individual with daily
tasks, and learning to be more independent. Also, caring for a child with ADHD, providing the child with
tools and strategies to improve emotional and behavioral self-regulation. Cooking meals and teaching
time management to both individuals.

CAMP COUNSELOR | ROTARY SUNSHINE CAMP | JULY 2016, JULY 2017, AND JULY 2018
· Two-week long sleepover camp sponsored by the Rochester Rotary Club, designed for children with
disabilities to receive a summer camp experience without barriers. Providing a safe and secure
environment for a group of 15 campers. Encouraging campers to participate in activities they typically
are not able to such as swimming, ziplining, fishing, or archery.
