Dear Mr. President:
This letter is in behalf of the 7th grade students of
Turtle Lake Junior High School concerning a survey they
conducted after the movie "The Day After".
Enclosed is a letter I received from Mr. Ron Huisheere,
7-8 grade Social Studies teacher, requesting that I forward
the students letter to you. You will find enclosed a letter
addressed to you from Mr. Huisheere's students.
As you will note, the students rated the movie a 11 6 11
on a scale from 1-10, 10 being excellant. The class does
not favor a build up of arms nor does it want a nuclear war.
Mr. President, I am sure you will find the student's
views on the movie interesting and informative. Your thoughts
on the movie will be most appreciated.
Thank you for your time and attention in this request.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please
don't hesitate to contact me. 1 look forward to your reply.

Dear Mr. Gunderson,

The last we corresponded was on o v ember 8, 1983 when you so

promptly sent to me the addresses of our embassages in other coun-

tries. Thank you so much for your help. My students and I greatly

appreciate your help.

I do have a favor to ask of you. After the ABC movie "The Day

After" my 7th grade classes rated and critiqued the movie. We were

wondering if you could pass our movie review of "The Day After" on

to the president, Ronald Reagan.

You may look over the review if you like. My class and I are

very much indebted to you for your help in the past and hope to re-

pay you if you can come to Turtle Lake.

Thank you.
