The lesson was about fact family, the LO was (by the end of the lesson the students will know the
meaning of fact family. Also, they will be able to make 2 addition sentences and 2 subtraction
sentence from 3 numbers).

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
In this lesson I want the students to know the meaning of fact family and know how to make
addition and subtraction sentences using 3 numbers.
What did the students do?
The students watch the video then tell me what they mean, then they solve some examples on the
board. After that they do the group and individual activities.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
The students was very active and they were very excited to know the meaning of fact family. Also,
they was engage to do the activities.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
The students already know how to make addition and subtraction sentences, the new idea was using
3 numbers.
How well did you engage the students?
The students engage the house picture activity. Also, they engage the group activities.

Yes, I make the class students center, they do the activities they do the closing they act as a
teacher.

Use more than one picture for the beginning (not only the house)
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I use signals to organize the students so this thing help me to keep the class calm. Also, I make
the class more students center.
