Today we celebrate to honor our retirees who have contributed much of their time, effort and skill

as well as welcoming the new member of the organization. Our beloved retirees have embraced
the core values as a COAn and shall pass these core values to the newbies who shall also embrace
these guiding principle. The Commission on Audit has core values that support the vision, shape
the culture and reflect COAn values. Each core values represents a color symbol. Each beads with
colors shall be pour on to the container as we witness the marvelous synergy of the diverse core
values come together as one.
God Centeredness as represented by the color White
White represents the color of the spirit, devotion and religion. It is a symbol of purity, innocence
and holiness. It enhances contemplation and prayer. On the other hand, white's devotion can be to
any cause or concept it believes in, including devotion to family or work. Be like a child to enter
the kingdom of God.
As a COAn, we believe that everything comes from God and, therefore, our highest accountability
is to Him.

Patriotism characterized by color Blue.
Blue relates to trust, honesty and dependability, therefore helping to build loyalty to our nation,
the Philippines. It adds strength and unity. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence.
Be like a soldiers who has unrelenting duty and courage to the country.
As COAn, we commit to serve the interest of the Filipino people and the country which shall have
priority over all other considerations.
Excellence as characterized by color Yellow.
Yellow stimulates the logical side of the brain and mental clarity. It promotes wisdom and
academic proficiency. It inspires original thinking and creative ideas. Be like a lightbulb that
illuminates darkness with light.
As COAn, we pursue world-class audit services availing of state-of-the-art technology in
conformity with international standards and best practices.
Integrity epitomized by color Orange
Orange it is a warm, vibrant and flamboyant color. It is energy combined with optimism, self-
confidence and sociability. Orange vitalizes, inspires and creates enthusiasm. Be like a pineapple,
stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.
As COAn, we discharge our mandate in adherence to moral and ethical principles and the highest
degree of honesty, independence, objectivity and professionalism.
Professionalism signified by color Red
Red means energy, passion, action, strength and excitement. It signifies a pioneering spirit and
leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. Be like a ros, the rarest essence lives
in the thorn.
As COAn, we believe in the continuous enhancement of the skills, competence and expertise of
our personnel in the basic right of every member of the organization to self-development and well-
being.
Courtesy, Modesty and Humility exemplified by color Green
Green is associated with nature, health and healing, and the environment, creating a sense of
compassion and nurturing for all. It encourages generosity, kindness and sympathy. This is a color
that has a strong sense of right or wrong, inviting good judgment. Be like a bamboo, the taller it
grows the deeper it bows.
As COAn, we uphold and practice courtesy, modesty and humility at all times, and acknowledge
that we do not have a monopoly of technical expertise.
Reverence for Truth and the Rule of Law embodied by color Silver
Silver is patience, reflection, perseverance, dignified, soothing & calming, self control,
organization and responsibility. It is illuminating and balancing (neither black nor white). Be
honest, even if others are not, even if others will not, even if others cannotAs COAn, we pledge to
remain steadfast in our sworn duty to uphold COA's ideals out of reverence for truth and the rule
of law.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you the new members of the COA-Region 9 family holding
the symbol of synergy of the core values of COA. Indeed, working together reveals diversity as a
rich resource to meet the challenges of our times, an unparalleled opportunity to bring together a
multiplicity of gifts for a common purpose. As each COAn being on the right path and fulfilling
the vision and mission of the Commission on Audit by embracing the unwavering guide as one
epitome of a good COAn.
