BA in General Social Sciences & B.Ed. in Social Studies Education with a minor in

- My general social sciences degree was a focus on History, Geography, and Psychology.
- With my Native Education Minor I have taken the following courses: Issues in Native
Education, Native American (NA) Philosophy, NA health, NA Canadian History,
Introduction to the Blackfoot Language.

TEACHING EXPERIENCES
1. Professional Semester Three: Coalhurst Elementary School September-December 2018
- Taught multigrade 2/3 reading, writing, word work, social, health, and art.
- Assisted in ukulele club for grade 6.
- Created and ran a drama club with a fellow PSIII Intern running twice a week for
both division 1 and 2 with a focus to improve school community. This drama club
also played a major role in the Christmas concert.
- Completed F&P testing and familiar with Literacy Place.
- Assisted in guided math.
- Volleyball Tournament Referee.

2. Professional Semester Two: C. Ian McLaren Elementary (Black Diamond) March- April
2018
- Taught grade 5 social, language arts, and science for four weeks and then full-time
teaching for the last two weeks.
- Helped coach the badminton team.

3. Professional Semester One: Stavely Elementary November- December 2016


- Taught grades 3, 5 and 6 in math and physical education. I also had a group of
grades one who I pulled from class and did F&P with.
- There was not a lot of extracurricular in the school available, but I did help in the
children’s improv class that was done weekly at the community theater and
archery.

- Plan, organize and advertise a variety of activities for children, families and elderly
to participate in when camping.
- Run activities such as crafts, nature walks, amazing race, family bowling nights,
etc.
Administrative Assistant/ Christ the Redeemer- Centre for Learning @Home ( three
summers)

- Provide clear instructions over the phone on how parents and students can
register for summer school.
- Ensure every student registered for summer school has the right requirements to
enroll in certain classes and are prepared for the first day of school including have
textbooks.
- Working with technical systems for payment methods and registration and
troubleshooting if parents have issues.
- Keeping educational files and documents organizes and readily available to
teachers.
Respite Worker/Advocacy in Motion (AIM)

- Was trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
- Work individually with a woman with Down ’s syndrome developing social skills
through community involvement.
- Ensure my client is comfortable in social settings and have the ability to de-
escalate situations if an outburst occurs.
- Provide creative ways and activities for my client to express her thoughts and
feelings.
- Fill out and organize weekly reports on client’s behavior, incident reports and
medication logs.
Summer Student Custodian/ St. John Paul II Collegiate
5/9/2014- 8/22/2014
- Provide a sanitary environment for both those working in the school and those
attending.
- Work within a time limit while leaving the area above satisfactory cleanliness.
- Work individually while students are still attending school, and as a team during
the summertime.
- While cleaning maintaining respect for the building and all those who work within
it.
