Introduction:

The first teacher will read the outcome today we will learn how to write numbers by letters and number
names. The teacher will open number song and ask the students to sing with the song, every time the
teacher will stop the song and spell the word with the students, for example, o-n-e one, teacher will spell

the blocks. Students have to organize the blocks for example number one 1 and put red block one point.

numbers the teacher will give them a numbers name worksheet.

Group3, in this center there will be dinosaur teeth card with number name and peg the teacher will put all
the cards on the table. Students have to choose one card, count the teeth and choose the correct word.
For example, students will count 1,2,3,45,6 and they have to place the peg on the right word when they
finish they have to choose another card. When they finish all the cards the teacher will give them a
numbers name worksheet.

Group2, in this center there will be number name and picture worksheet, Scissors and glue. The teacher
will give one worksheet, glue and scissor for each student. They will work separately. The teacher will ask
them to read the words at the bottom of the worksheet. The teacher will do one example: she counts
1,2,3, she cuts word three and glues it in the corresponding box, than she will ask the students to see the
picture count it then choose the correct number name for this number from the bottom than cut it and
glue it on the box. When they finish glue all the words, the teacher will give them a numbers name
worksheet.

Group1, in this center there will be a number name puzzle. The teacher will give this puzzle to all students
in the group. The teacher will explain the activity. She will say you have to build the number name with
these letters. The teacher will show them one example. She will take letters o,n,e and make a word one
than she will tell them to work together and make a number name puzzle , than when you finish you have
to write the word down on the paper. Before writing the words, teacher will ask the students to read the
word. When they finish build all words the teacher will give them a numbers name worksheet.
In the closing, teacher will use the white board, and stick the numbers cards on the board, she will have a
box with letters, the teacher will choose the students randomly. She will let the students choose the

number and let them pronounce the word and tell her the letters on the words she or he choose the
number from the box and arranges the words on the board. She asks the rest of the class about what they

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? My achievement was to finish the lesson on the time,
time consuming and teacher they students how to write number names.

What did the students do?

First students were answering questions, when they came to class they were setting on their groups,
teacher tell them what they going to learn then teacher open number latter song, students were
repeating the letters with the teacher they one, o, n, e, they do all the words tell ten when they finish all
the words, teacher bearing white board and stick key vocab, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
nine, ten, and the numbers one to ten then ask the students to come a choose a word and spelling to the
class, five students come to front of class and choose the word and spelling to the whole class, after that
teacher put some words on the board and ask the students to make a word with these words - number
words teacher put letters o, e, n, o, t, w students make word one and two, first students came he writ the
word one .own teacher ask the students what you think it correct word they students say no teacher call
anther students to correct the word and he correct the word one than teacher call other students to build

words and match the words with correct picture, group three Students have to choose one card, count
the teeth and choose the correct word put the peg on the word, group four Students have to organize the
blocks for example number one 1 and put red block one point. then put number name block than build
each block like this for all numbers, group five and six wrote the words with play dough. After 15min
teacher run the bell and ask the students to finish the activity. teacher call some students to choose
number and find the word. If any group finish the activity teacher give them number names worksheet.
After that teacher asks them, students, what the learned than students make a line, teacher give a name
stick and ask the students if you understand the lesson you have to put your name in the happy face and
if you do not like the lesson but your name in the sad face.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
In the formative assessment, I check their understanding and then decide if the
topic needs re-taught, I found that students could complete the activity
independently, and during the activity I walk through centers and ask some
question during the activity, about what the doing, and I ask them to read the
number names and spell the number letters, I found that same students in low
group need more help to write the words.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?

Students know the number names from grade one and high group students know how to write the
number names one to five.

How well did you engage the students?

Students were engaged when they are doing the activity. They build words and write the words with play
dough.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?

In the introduction’s students were involved with me answering questions and


building word spelling the letters, during the centers' students were able to the
complete activity because the instruction was clear, and same activity was very
easy for them and they finish before the time, but teacher make extra activity
and give the students when they finish. Yes, my goal was Time consuming and I
but time 15 min to model the lesson the 15 min during the activity than 10min
for closing. I time myself and make the students engage all the time.

In the future I will make the activity more challenge for master level because the
activity was too easy for them they build the words with letters. The benefit of
doing that the students will be able to write the number names.
