Know the forest resources and their characteristics, with the purpose
of industrialization and commercialization, at the local, regional and world level;
and public and private organizations related to the national forest-industrial
sector.

DEFINITION OF THE CAREER

Forestry Engineering is a career, considered as a transforming,


investigative process, of connection and transcendent management, related to
the forest and its environment, which seeks permanently, the construction of
knowledge.

The race seeks to promote the development of forestry, natural resources


and environmental sectors, to improve the community's standard of living,
combining a social sense, a sustainable business approach and an ecological
conscience.

He is responsible for the integral formation of the Forest Engineer, based


on technical, scientific, socioeconomic and humanistic knowledge, capable of
making a sustainable forest use for the promotion of good living and the economic
development of the country.

Forestry Engineering trends and perspectives are positive and dynamic


challenges, where man and the environment are articulated harmoniously for
their well-being, through the sustainable management of forest resources, so that
society learns, through this career, to value in an integral way the functions of the
forests in the preservation of the ecological balance, in the well-being of the
human being and life of the planet.
WHERE A FOREST ENGINEER CAN WORK

The forestry sector is one of the most important industrial sectors and
one of the main sources of work in our country. Its professionals not only produce
services and resources, but also work in the development of alternative energies,
to contribute to the economy of our country. This is how the faculty is committed
to contributing to the country, through the efficient and profitable production of
forestry and agricultural products, incorporating state-of-the-art technology and
sustainable methods in productive processes, and conservation of resources.

The forestry engineer can play mainly in the management and harvesting
of productive forests; elaboration of management plans and conservation of
forests and natural resources; climate change and territorial planning, among
other activities that characterize them as "green careers", given that they are
involved in the preservation of our resources.
