components are free from any physical damage.

Each package or material shipped separately shall be clearly marked


with the Purchase Order number. All components of the system such
as relief valves and control valves shall be identified with a 31-SAMSS-003

permanently affixed corrosion-resistant tag showing the component 14.6
identification number referenced to the piping and instrument
diagram.

Rotation arrows shall be cast in or attached to each 31-SAMSS-003

major item of rotating equipment. (API 618 Para 2.12.3) 2.1

Nameplates & rotation arrows (if attached) shall be of AIS1 Standard


Type 300 SS or of nickel-copper alloy (UNS NO4400 [Monel or 31-SAMSS-003

equivalent]). Attachment pins shall be same material. Welding 2.1

A nameplate shall be securely attached at a readily visible point on


the equipment & on any other major piece of auxiliary equipment.

Note 1:Nameplate data shall be permanently etched,

services shall be 1.6 mm (1/16 inch). This should be stamped on

steel. Gaskets for ring joint flanges shall be soft iron octagonal ring.

surface shall not have mechanical or corrosion damage. Evaluate Para. 7.6.3

Unions are not permitted in pressurized lines carrying flammable or 01-SAMSS-017,


D12 toxic fluids unless they are required for removal or assembly of the
equipment and cannot otherwise be substituted by flanges. Para. 7.4.1

When use of unions are permitted, they shall not be installed in the 01-SAMSS-017,
D13 pipe section between the pipe run and the root valve.
Note: Use of any unions requires CSD Piping Stds approval. Para. 7.4.3
