Instructions: To contribute to the goal of preparing reflective practitioners, Student Teachers will write an Action Plan at the end of their First,
Second and Third Field Experience with input from their Co-operating Teacher and/or Field Supervisor. The Action Plan synthesizes each Field
Experience’s evaluation, links each Field Experience to the next, establishes goals for improvement and forms an agenda for discussion between
the Student Teacher, Co-operating Teacher and Field Supervisor at the beginning of the subsequent Field Experience. For Field Experience 1 only
(excluding Physical Education students), the Action Plan will be completed during the co-requisite Professional Seminar course.

I have shown ‘Thorough’ to ‘Advanced’ development in the following Professional Competencies developed during this Field Experience:
Professional Competency 1: To act as a professional inheritor, critic and interpreter of knowledge or culture when teaching students.

Professional Competency 11: To engage in professional development individually and with others.

Professional Competency 12: To demonstrate ethical and responsible professional behaviour in the performance of his or her duties.

I would like to improve my skills in the following Professional Competencies developed during this Field Experience:
Professional Competency 2: To communicate clearly in the language of instruction, both orally and in writing, using correct grammar, in various contexts
related to teaching.

Professional Competency 8: To integrate information and communications technologies (ICT) in the preparation and delivery of
teaching/learning activities and for instructional management and professional development purposes.

Professional Competency 9: To cooperate with school staff, parents, partners in the community and students in pursuing the
educational objectives of the school.

I will make use of the following strategies for improvement:

In order to improve my oral communication skills and learn to more effectively project my voice, I will seek out public speaking opportunities. Doing so will
allow me to develop the confidence I require in order to present myself before a classroom of students and speak with a greater presence and in such a
manner that will engage students. I will also consult literature that will provide me with new strategies and techniques I may incorporate into my speaking.
As a result, I will be able to grasp my students' attention and speak with authority and confidence.

Regarding ICT, I wish to conduct extensive research pertaining to the may ways in which these technologies are utilized in the field of education
throughout the world. In doing so, I will be more knowledgeable about the technologies at my disposal in future field experiences. I will then be able to
suggest certain applications, programs of websites to my cooperating teacher that we may incorporate into our lessons while adhering to the curriculum.

As for becoming an active member of my school's community, the longer period of time spent in the school during future field experiences will allow me to
have a greater presence around the school. In the time until the next FE, I wish to conduct research concerning projects to which I may introduce my
classroom. These projects may be creative in nature, such as artistic creations or perhaps even a play. In addition, I will make myself available to the
administration in case they require any assistance with ongoing projects, be it during or even after school hours. I will ensure that I communicate with
members of staff in order to develop a strong rapport with them, opening myself to more opportunities to participate in activities and projects around the
school.

The Action Plan is to be discussed with your Field Supervisor and Co-operating Teacher at the start of the subsequent Field Experience.
