Site
Apart from the student-residence the operating agency runs a Kindergarten and a nursery in the same
building. The student-residence is in a separate part of the building and has its own entrance.

It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, very close to the railway main station of Klagenfurt (just about 5
min. to go). The university can be reached by public transport and by bike (approx. 25 minutes).

Rooms and furnishings

The student-residence can accommodate a maximum of 20 students:
 4 double rooms
 8 single rooms
 2 x 2 single rooms with a shared bath/WC

The bright and pleasant rooms are furnished with bath/WC, built-in wardrobe, shelves, bed and
mattress, pillow and blanket, table, pin-board.

The student-residence has a shared kitchen with fridges, a dining room, a tea-making area, a common
room, a winter garden and a coin-operated washing machine.

Monthly usage fees

Double room: EUR 250
Single room with shared bath/WC: EUR 266
Single room with bath/WC: EUR 276

The payment of the usage fee is due in advance. The resident is obligated to establish an account with a
financial institution in Austria. From this account, the usage fee is collected between the 1st and 5th of
the month by means of SEPA direct debit.

The usage fee includes, aside from rent for a furnished room, all operating costs (heating, water and
electricity) and Internet.
Reservation fee, security deposit and other payments
The resident must pay the reservation fee before the start of usage. This includes the following:
 deposit in the amount of a monthly rent, which is used for any obligations and damages
to be borne by the resident and is settled at the end of the utilization period
 one-time administration fee of EUR 55
 general repair lump-sum of EUR 30, which is due 1x/semester
 costs of the final cleaning in the amount of EUR 30, which is due 1x/year and when
moving out

The user agreement will only become final if the reservation fee is paid on the account of the Don
Bosco StudentInnen-Wohnheim (RLB Tirol, IBAN: AT39 3600 0000 0072 5796, BIC: RZTIAT22).

The room and front door keys are handed over after a security deposit in cash of EUR 50.

One bed-set (bed linen, pillow cover, fitted sheet) can be provided at an extra charge of EUR 12.

Admission procedure:
1. Fill in the application form.
2. Sign and send the application form (including all other required documents) by mail or
email.
3. Payment of the reservation fee (as described above)
4. When all application criteria are fulfilled you will get a reservation confirmation.

Cancellation conditions:
If you cancel your reservation (by mail or fax) within 7 days following receipt of the reservation
confirmation, the reservation fee (less administration fee and bank charges) will be refunded.
Otherwise the entire reservation fee will be forfeited

Contract term:
The user agreement is signed for either one semester (minimum 4 months) or one academic year. After
expiry of the term of the contract, the contract shall terminate without further notice being required.

The contract can be extended for another semester or academic year. A written application must be
submitted to the student residence management on time (for the summer semester by 15 December,
for the new academic year by 30 April).

If the user agreement is concluded for the duration of one academic year, it can be terminated at the
end of the semester in writing - for the winter semester ending 10 February at the latest by 15
December; for the summer semester ending 10 July, at the latest by 30 April.

The user agreement may be terminated by the student-residence management prematurely pursuant
to Section 12 Abs. 1 StHG.
