Before me the undersigned Fourth Circuit Judicial Officer, in and for Duval County; notary public; or law
enforcement officer personally came M P GIBSON, who, being duly sworn deposes and says that he/she has
reason to believe and does believe that one Danny Ray Beard ll, described as follows: Last known address:
2903 Vern DR, Jacksonville, FL32233; Race: BLAGK; Sex: MALE; DOB: 0210111982: Ht: 6'04"; Wt: 230;
Hair: BLACK; Eyes: BROWN; Scars, Marks: UK; did in Duval County, Florida, between September 16,
2018 and September 17,2018, commit the below listed offense(s), contrary to the provisions of Florida
Statutes:

Affiant's reasons for so believing are as follows:

Your affiant has been employed by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office as a police officer for over
nineteen years and is currently assigned to the Homicide Unit as a detective . On 9117118, your affiant
was assigned as the lead detective in the death investigation of 37 year old black female Andre
Washington ("Victim Washington").

Victim Washington and the suspect, 36 year old black male Danny Ray Beard ll ("Beard"), were
boyfriend and girlfriend. They resided together as a family for approximately one year in Victim
Washington's home located at 12568 ltani Way in Jacksonville, Florida. Beard moved out of the
residence approximately two weeks prior to Victim Washington's murder.

Your affiant's investigation revealed that on 9/16/18, at approximately 2055 hours, Beard arrived at
Victim Washington's residence. At some point, Victim Washington was involved in an altercation
with Beard. During the altercation, Beard shot and killed Victim Washington. Beard left Victim
Washington's residence at approximately 2243 hours. Beard travelled home and then went to
witness Jones'house. Beard and witness Jones then travelled to Victim Washington's residence
where Beard claimed he found Victim Washington deceased.

Victim Washington and Beard had a history of documented violence including an active temporary
injunction for protection. During the homicide investigation, evidence was found to support Victim
Washington's claim that on 911118, Beard battered her and threatened her with a firearm. On 912118,
Victim Washington reported to police that Beard battered her in her home. Victim Washington
reported that during the assault, Beard also kicked open her bedroom and closet door where he
pointed a gun at her and stated he was going to kill her prior to him leaving the house. After the
battery incident, Beard moved out of Victim Washington's home. On 9/5/18, Victim Washington was
granted a temporary injunction for protection against Beard. Beard was served with the injunction
on 9112118. Victim Washington and Beard were scheduled to appear in court to testify on the matter
on9117118, at 0815 hours.

Beard and witness Jones were interviewed shortly after Victim Washington was found deceased.
Beard stated he had not been at Victim Washington's residence since he was served with an
injunction for protection on 9112118. Beard stated he was at home the night of 9/16/18 where he
received a text message from Victim Washington advising that she was being followed and needed
help. Beard denied owning a firearm.
Witness Jones stated he and Beard drove to Victim Washington's residence after suspect Beard
arrived at witness Jones'home and expressed concern for Victim Washington's safety. Witness
Jones stated Beard did in fact own a small silver "22 caliber" handgun and the last time witness
Jones saw the gun "was the other day" in Beard's residence at 2903 Vern Drive. Witness Jones
stated Beard was not wearing a ball cap when he and Beard responded to Victim Washington's

residence.

A search of Victim Washington's residence revealed the following:

FDLE conducted DNA testing on 2 of the 3 live 25 caliber rounds located next to Victim Washington's
body and found that it was 490,000 times more likely that the DNA came from Beard and 2 unknown
contributors than 3 unknown contributors. Witness Jones was excluded as a contributor.

Cellular telephone data, internet data, and ADT security data indicate that Beard was at Victim
Washington's residence during the timeframe of the homicide. This evidence refutes suspect
Beard's statements in reference to being home the night Victim Washington was kilted. Additionally,
firearm related evidence at the scene was similar to firearm related evidence recovered from Beard's
residence.
