• For rooftop sites, vendors shall seek to locate the service cabinet that minimise the total cost
of hybrid cables. Or keep in shelter site by using indoor type.
Minimum total length of hybrid, plus avoiding the necessity of long hybrids that require heavy
gauged able or parallel feeders.
It is essential trunked hybrid cable lengths are kept at a minimum, as the gauge size or
diameter of the cable is based on the a voltage drop or Partial Load Voltage Disconnect
(PLVD) calculated to accommodate any VENDOR RRU configuration (max. 4 RRUs), and
therefore with longer lengths DC cable gauge will increase in diameter accordingly (see table
1), sites costs will subsequently increase, and designs to accommodate PLVD may grow
complex

RIM Solution
RIM Solution
(Standard)
• As telecom network assets are widely and remotely distributed, managing assets and base
station routinely and effectively has proven to be difficult and costly. With reducing ARPU,
ensuring operational efficiency and high up-time of assets (such as generators, rectifier,
batteries, air-conditioners, cooling fans, filter etc.) need constant management. Manual
collection of data, and analysis, reporting and decision making based on such manual process
has always failed due to lack of quality and transparency in the data

• RIM should be successfully developed and implemented the platform for smart energy and
environmental monitoring and control, and management for off-grid and poor grid or unstable
grid sites in the field. Software and analytics reports have been created and fine-tuned
continually based on vast field experience

• With domain expertise in the area of energy, communications and computing, we manufacture
and install highly accurate, digital, mostly wireless and tamper resistant sensors and meters,
and also utilize secure networks for sending out alarms, alert and sms

• RIM intelligent energy data analytics technique, reporting tools as well as web-based network
management system provide and integrated energy management tool to monitor all the energy
and environmental parameters at our telecom site

General Requirement Site Infrastructure

RIM Solution
(Standard)
• The RIM system optimizes the site energy performance and can be customized with any
remote sensing modules at a site Diesel accounting system for diesel optimization; battery
health management system; utility, DG and conditioner energy metering system; battery, BTS
load, transmission load metering system with multi-tenant support (individual tenant level
metering); PFC alarm sensing of sniffing to sense existing alarms at site without affecting
existing alarm stream to NOC; multiple point temperature monitoring; humidity monitoring;
alternate batteries, fuel cell energy metering for renewable energy resources; AC DC energy
metering

• Smart solutions solve problem related to : Fault management-by sending out alarms and
alerts in real time; Energy metering-by accurately accounting for energy usage, fuel usage;
Performance management –by improving time taken to detect faults, ensuring accurate data
collection, analysis and validation

• Proactive management is the way to manage passive infrastructure for unclear visibility of Site
AC power quality (V, A, F); AC and DC power consumption; Site Power outages
(frequency and duration); rectifier parameter setting; battery performance (battery charging
parameter, battery SOC, DOD, SOH, Temp, Battery theft); Thermal management (Fan,
aircond); Alarm management/correlation

• Proactive management can be diesel management to oversee : Diesel Fill, Diesel Use, Diesel
theft (is it community support – CSR)

General Requirement Site Infrastructure

• For site with warehouse pre-assembled, PIM test shall be done from warehouse PIM test and
on-site PIM test via LMT and OSS test after installation.
PIM tester shall be used in accordance with their respective Band. E.g. PIM 1800 tester
used only for 1800 band & the same way applied for 900/2100 band

• For Site with on site pre-assembled, PIM test shall be done from LMT and OSS after
installation
