I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On 12/9/2018 Officers responded to 360 S. State Street in Orem to Apartment A422 in response to a felony warrant on Lance
Croxton Jensen. In serving the said warrant Lance Croxton Jensen requested officers to retrieve his eye glasses from the night
stand next to the bed in the room that he was residing. In retrieving Lance's glasses I noticed a plastic bag that contained
several small plastic bags containing a white grainy powder that from my training and experience appeared to be cocaine. The
white grainy substance field tested positive for cocaine. There was also a small bag of a brown grainy substance that from my
training and experience appeared to be heroin. The brown grainy
substance tested positive for heroin. There was also a cut straw in the bag with the illegal substances which is commonly
refereed to as a "tutter straw" and is used to inhale illegal controlled substances. I locating the substances Officers immediately
seized the environment and all occupants in the apartment were brought in the presence of officers to prevent the destruction or
tampering with evidence while a warrant was drafted and approved by the Honorable Judge Johnson.
In serving he warrant we entered a room occupied by Lance Croxton Jensen and Kaelena Chanel Ashley where the cocaine
and heroin were originally located. In further searching the room I found several pieces of aluminum foil with heroin residue on
the aluminum foil. In searching the bathroom connected to the bedroom additional heroin and paraphernalia were found on the
vanity countertop and in a shelf in the bathroom.
By submitting this affidavit, I declare under criminal penalty of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct.
