It's got a lot, or everything, to do with the Disney streaming service coming out next
year. Netflix has to kill all of the Marvel shows. 😢
I hear they're still going to release Jessica Jones and Punisher, which are already in the

Currently running through this now. I'm not a Joel McHale fan. I don't think he's funny
and I find it annoying that every role he has revolves around him being good looking
when I think he's average looking at best.
With that said, it's probably one of the best shows I've seen since the early years of The
Office.
permalink embed save parent report reply
Well, plenty of the stories revolve around his character's vast insecurities, so he's
certainly more than "the good-looking one."

The way they made the final season was a roller coaster. It was picked up by the failed
Yahoo! Screen streaming service in 2015 and made/distributed at a $42 million loss for
the company. Might've cost them a lot, but at least we got decent closure.

Oh yeah! That theme song still plays in my mind - I think it only tanked because of the

permalink embed save parent report reply
Forever. It was a great premise, had fun characters, a lot of heart. Not sure why it didn't hit.
permalink embed save report reply
I can kind of understand why, because it played it off safe. Nothing bad really happened,
and when something potentially bad was happening, I knew it would solve itself in a
way where basically nobody gets any lasting injuries.
The relationships were insanely slow, the only reason we got to see them being even a
little more than friends was because it was getting axed.
Big bad immortal guy felt like a Disney villain by the end, and the way they dealt with
him was fun but extremely predictable.
It's a show with a great concept, but it wasn't used to it's full potential.

Jericho was basically the framework of the Walking Dead (later stuff) and Under the

Man that show was so funny! The cast had great chemistry. I want to re-watch the

that stuck in my head was when they held an intervention for that guy's addiction to v-

Firefly.
This response to this question has to be in at least the top 20 Reddit motifs and cliches.
No, maybe even top 10.
permalink embed save parent report reply
Yeah, and if you asked what kind of food people like, it would be cliche to say pizza.
But that doesn't mean pizza isn't fucking delicious.
permalink embed save parent report reply
I think it was good because it didn't have time to get bad. It was a solid premise
and first season. But it has the cliched mystique around it of what could have
been.
Looking objectively, was Kennedy really that great of a president? Eh... it's
debatable. But he's lionized because he was cut down too soon. Was Jim
Morrison really a rock god? Would he be revered the same way if he wasn't dead
at 27 before he became a fat washed up has been playing a casino circuit?

Much like horror movies are much scarier when they don't show you as much
because whatever your brain can think up is far more frightening than whatever
is on screen, anything that ends too soon is given over inflated praise because
your brain thinks in the abstract about how great it could have been.

PS.: I don't even know what "Firefly" is about, but after seeing people quoting it over and

permalink embed save report reply
I love this show. It was a shame it was cancelled at a point where the story was really
developing with every episode, including many big twists. I reallt recommend it.
Also, Firefly is amazing and the most popular answer every time this question is asked.
Basically it's a sci-fi show that was totally mistreated by its network (Fox), and was
cancelled during its first season. This short life, and the fact that the story was wrapped
up in a theater-released movie, has given Firefly a mythical status among fans. It is
really good, though. Plus it has actors like Nathan Fillion, Morena Baccarin or Jewel
Staite.

Okay technically it was cancelled and it was a good show but that show lasted long
enough. Once the characters started leaving it started getting worse. I'd rather have a
show end early than get progressively worse and more different from how it started.

Yeah, The Office started going downhill around season 5, with a resurgence of
awesomeness with the Micheal Scott Paper Company arc, and then a pretty steep
decline sometime in season 6. I think I stopped watching altogether a couple
