South Devon Deli Opens Its Doors to the World

After 170 years of successful trading, Mann and Son have opened their doors to the world with their
on line deli - www.thedelimann.co.uk. The family has seen many changes to world, but one thing is
constant since 1837 - its commitment to supply high quality food gifts and products, working with
most small suppliers who share their passion for great food. "You won't find the many of the quality
products we supply in the supermarkets," comments James Mann, "that is just not where we are at!"

Mann & Son of Bovey Tracey, the oldest shop in Bovey Tracey and most likely the whole of South
Devon, today launch their on line business - the delimann.co.uk. Now, in effect, opening their doors to
the world.

The online store will be focusing their core sales on local Westcountry produce, as well as working with
those suppliers and family run businesses from Spain and Italy who share their passion for great tasting
food.

“Since my great, great Grandfather first opened the doors of Mann and Son in 1837, there has been a lot
of changes! We have survived and thrived because we have constantly evolved our business and the
online deli is definitely the way to go to bring our products and gift boxes nationwide,” commented James
Mann, who runs Mann and Son with his wife Gill.

One of the key unique selling points for the delimann is that it does not wish to sell mass produced foods
that are available in the supermarkets.

Says Gill Mann, “Our products are those special little gems that, unless you have a top notch Devon deli
on your doorstep, would be hard to find. Like the wonderful Highfields Jams and Teoni biscuits - all
delicious products made in the county and can be hard to buy.”

A big part of delimann sales are projected to be via the gift and hamper market, with strong corporate gift
programme already successfully launched, additionally, a publicity campaign is underway with the help
of a Greater Dartmoor LEAF grant.

The delimann is currently operating out of Mann & Son offices above the shop in Fore Street, Bovey
Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor.
