1807 REV 1
:
• added safeguards against mixer failure due to buggy right fwd door. should remove reported sound drop outs.
• added set 11 – delta airlines (1) to announcement sets
• added surround version (not recommended to users without real 7.1 sound sets; not recommended for 5.1 or 7.1 headsets)
• no more supersonic buzz on deployed reversers with high N1
• corrected / improved exterior reverser sounds (close and far)
• fixed internal and external fuel pumps playing at the same time on the inside
• brought back solenoid clack (landing gear) on liftoff (got lost from some version on)
• fixed fuel pump sounds cutting out in cockpit (but not cabin) when activating hydraulic pumps
• fixed wiper 3D position
• added optional 7.1. surround version (in folder “fmod > 7.1. SURROUND VERSION”)
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS:
DO NOT use AI aircraft of a different type with the same sound set. For
example: You fly the 737-900 and the AI flies the 737-700. X-Plane WILL
CRASH. You CAN use AI that fly THE SAME aircraft without conflict (e.g.
you fly the 737-700 and you can have AI pilots flying the EXACT same
aircraft).
Installation steps:
If you downloaded this package with any aircraft of the 737 Ultimate
project, you don’t need to do anything.
• Remove any folder called “fmod” from your Zibo 737 aircraft
directory.
• Copy and paste the included folder “fmod” into the Zibo 737 aircraft
folder. Done. (Mac: Make sure you replace any existing fmod
entirely!)

HINT: You can always use X-Plane’s built-in volume controls in the
settings menu (settings > sound). They work just fine. The custom
options are implemented to fine-tuned certain aspects of the sound.
CUSTOM OPTIONS
HINT: If you set up for the first time, set all volume levels to 5.
Then use X-Plane’s menu and move the “internal” slider until
the overall volume is good for you. Then start fine-tuning.
Volume levels on 5 will give a balanced, more or less
realistic set-up that should still work with VATSIM etc.
If you want the sound system to follow your flight dynamically including all
the passengers’ and crews’ sounds, you need to follow standard procedures.
Most importantly, you should BOARD (START FLIGHT LEG) the aircraft first –
if not it will be assumed empty.
If you hotstart (e.g. in air, with engines running) the aircraft is always
assumed boarded, flight started, doors closed (see “FLIGHT CONTROL”).
FLIGHT CONTROL
• If you want to start boarding => navigate to the menu FLIGHT CONTROL and
select START FLIGHT LEG (BOARDING).
This will tell the immersion pack to start boarding and adapt correctly to the
flight phases. Among other things this will ensure the (virtual) cabin door is
closed in the appropriate flight phase and outside sounds are correctly
dampened.
• If you want your passengers to leave after gate arrival => select END
FLIGHT.
• If you want to hear the cargo crew loading the plane, catering people
rummaging and cleaning crew prepare the plane, select CARGO LOAD
START (in between flight legs). If you want to stop these sounds, select
CARGO LOAD STOP.
• Cargo loading is also played on the outside and blends nicely with ground
handling and third party ground handling addons.
OPTIONS
IMPORTANT NOTE:
THE FMC MENU IS SUBJECT TO FREQUENT CHANGE. THESE PAGES MAY NOT
DISPLAY THE CURRENT LAYOUT OF THE MENU, BUT MOST OPTIONS SHOULD
BE SELF-EXPLAINING.
Before pushback or taxi, you should start the flight via FLIGHT CONTROL (see
below)
FEATURE EFFECT
PAX BOARD enable / disable the boarding sounds
This will NOT start the boarding, it will only enable or disable the feature.
PAX CHATTER enable / disable passengers chatting when on board
This will NOT start the chatter, it will only enable or disable the feature.
AIRPORT SET choose between two sets or airport ambience with
vehicles and aircraft (regional / large airport) or basic
(basic airport background)
ANALOG GYRO enable / disable the analog gyro sounds (“woodpecker”,
NOT realistic for a current 737-800 due to digital gyros)
MUTE FMC mute the FMC message chime (this is customizable by
airlines, most do not use FMC chimes)
VOLUMES
Control feature volumes here. You should start with everything on 5 . Go higher to
emphasize a sound group or lower to have it more in the background. It’s NOT a good idea
to set everything to 10! It will most likely distort depending on your XPLANE volume
settings. Remember the overall sound volume is still controlled by X-Plane. E.g. if you
lower the exterior volume in the X-Plane menu, this will also effect the 737’s exterior
sounds.
HINT: Instead of disabling features, you can also set a feature’s volume to 0.
FEATURE EFFECT
PM This is used for the Pilot Monitoring’s callouts. You can
safely set this to 10.
ROLLS Used for all sounds that have to do with rolling on
ground and impacts of all kinds
BUMPS fine-tuning the amount of bumps and thuds (mainly
affects volume on centerline and low taxi speed
bumps)
ANNOUNCEMENTS
ANNOUNC. VOL. Announcement volume in general
ANNOUNC. SET choose between 4 sets that differ in the Captain’s voice
NR / text and the FA voices / texts
CAPT WELCOME welcome speech by captain
CAPT CRUISE typical level-off speeches
CAPT DESCENT captain announcing begin of descent
CAPT PRELAND captain announcing approach, followed by flight
attendants’ security announcements
TURBULENCE flight attendants’ turbulence warning
EQ
The EQ sections can be used to adapt the sound to different headphones or speakers. You
can ADD lows, mids and highs. If you don’t use any EQ, it will switch off and won’t impact
performance. Take care not to kill your speakers with too much low end.
DEFAULT – Clicking this will reset all custom options to the default values.
SAVE – On the first page of ADVANCED you can click SAVE to have your current settings
stored. You can also save PRESETS of your sounds.
AUTOMATED CREW ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CALL- OUTS
Callouts
descent Pilot monitoring “1000 feet, passing 1000 feet AGL on descent /

There is also a virtual ;) flight attendant that will have messages for the flight deck.

started
The pack’s scripts will follow your flight’s progress and determine which flight
phase your in. This governs which sounds are played automatically and also
controls the passenger’s chatter volume and minor events like the
passenger’s flushing the toilet now and then.
The logic of the scripts assumes that you are following some ground rules
that should fit into most or even every airline SOP out there.
The accuracy is also higher if you program the FMC properly. However, you can
still change your cruise altitude in flight (e.g. if your operator tells you so) and
the system should follow it.
You can also hand fly and it should work out ok. However, I suggest you at least
set ANY cruising altitude in the PERF page of the FMC because it will be set to
20.000 feet if you do not enter any other value after loading the plane and the
sound logic will assume this to be your designated cruise / descent altitude.
The following table lists which announcement is played by which trigger. Some
announcements are fully automated (e.g. pre-landing, after take-off), some
are triggered by you (seatbelts ON or OFF, starting or ending the boarding
process).
Under normal circumstances, you can even start in mid-air, on the runway or
do a 10 nm approach and the announcements should be played correctly. Hot-
starts (with engines running, on the runway, for example) are usually
detected. The typical gate departure sounds are then suppressed. However, if
you want the system to work at peak efficiency, you might want to stick to the
usual procedures.
ANNOUNCEMENTS AND MESSAGES / TRIGGERS and description

CABIN DOOR TRIGGERS:
The cabin doors will be closed automatically if any of the following conditions are met:
• HOT START
• You are airborne.
• On the ground: TAXI LIGHTS not OFF
• On the ground: ANTI-COLLISION LIGHTS ON
• On the ground: Any engine is running
• On the ground: You started gate departure and the flight attendants closed the
door.
PAX will fasten or un-fasten seatbelts according to your seatbelt sign settings. When seatbelts are
already fastened, the AUTO position will assume they should stay fastened, the OFF positioning causes
passengers to unfasten seatbelts.
ANNOUNCEMEN SETS
Currently there are 10 sets. The first 4 are not airline specific (the airline is not mentioned). Sets above
#4 are specific for airlines. They differ slightly depending on local time / sun angle in some parts. Also,
the procedures are not always exactly identical (only SWA attendants will announced the aircraft
cleared for departure e.g.). Enjoy finding out the small differences ;)
AIRPORT SETS
BUSY and REGIONAL are two variations of composed (fake) airport ambience. Setting airport ambience
to OFF will play a general background ambience. Select this to have your airport sounds come only from
FMOD ready airplanes on the airport (or other AI aircraft). Please note that only FMOD enabled aircraft
benefit fully from the dynamic filtering system (inside / outside / cabin door status / flight deck door
status). Other aircraft or plug-in powered vehicles filter sounds according to their own plug-ins (e.g.
betterpushback).
TCAS AND GPWS SELF-TESTS
If you press the TCAS or GPWS test buttons, the appropriate test sounds will be played. Like in the real
cockpit, pressing the GPWS test button for 2 seconds or longer will start the long GPWS test.
You can assign keys / buttons to some custom commands that are specific to this
immersion pack. You can find them by opening XP11’s settings menu and then “keyboard”.
You can either scroll down until you find the commands OR you can simply enter “fmod”
into the search field.
Assign buttons as you like.

If you want to support the project or think that the effort is worth a donation, you are
most welcome. It took about 6 months to build the first public release candidate, a lot of
begging (to ride on the jump seat), research, time and also money (audio equipment is
very expensive, full scale simulator time even more so).
You can find the donation links on the .org page and in the audiobirdxp forum.
