GENERAL OVERVIEW

Mine rescue is the specialized job of rescuing people who trapped in mine area because
of mining accident and flood. During the mining rescue operation time many people has died .So
all country to avoid this that improving mining rescue technologies .most mine rescue team are
familiar with the mine machinery they encounter during the rescue, the layout of workings
and geological conditions and working practices.

In the early studies of mine disasters, particular attention was placed on the examination
of a mine as soon as a fire or explosion had occurred. As a result, mine safety station railroad
cars were established. With a constant focus on the improvement of mine safety, Dr. Holmes
negotiated and obtained four Pullman sleeping cars for the Bureau of Mines. These cars were
internally remodeled to include first aid and mine safety equipment, training and work rooms, an
office, as well as eating and sleeping quarters. These “mine rescue stations” or “mine rescue
cars” not only visited mining centers in all states to present demonstrations, lectures and training,
but were immediately dispatched to areas where a mine disaster occurred.

The systematic review on recent development in rescue robot has been done based on sets
of their application in accident. The world’s first robot of mine disaster rescue RATLER was
born in 1998 in the United States, a robot with a dangerous gas sensor, an infrared camera, a
gyroscope, and a radio frequency signal transceiver. But due to the laggard equipment its remote
control distance was only seventy-six meters. China’s first coal mine disaster rescue robot
CUMT-I was developed by China University of Mining and Technology in 2006, shown in
Figure 1; exploration of this robot began in 2004, which was proposed by professor Ge Shirong
who created the first R&D team in China . CUMT-I had basic ability of remote control, video
transmission, dangerous gas detection, and moving object. But neither RATLER nor CUMT-I
had been applied to the actual rescue mission because of the lack of rescue requirements.

The improvement of technology is a very important aspect to promote the development


of coal mine disaster rescue robot, especially the improvement of key technologies such as
explosion-proof design, explosion-proof material, lightweight physical design, communication
system, integration of electronic equipment, artificial intelligence, and test methods, which are
problems that must be solved in the process of practical application of coal mine disaster rescue
robot

Aim of the thesis:


The goal of the investigation is to determine the potential of mine rescue
Objectives:
In order to achieve above-mentioned aim, following objectives are carried out.
 Detail study about sustainability in rescue in mining
 Analysis of current situation about mining rescue
 Detail study of mining rescue operation includes energy efficiency vehicles remedies
 To get the information about the rescue operation for difficult situations in mining rescue
 To list out different true mine rescue incidents worldwide

Methodology:
Above objectives could be achieve with proper planning. The first step towards to
achieve a goal is to understand the topic properly. Then, list out the questions that could be
raised. Next step could be gathering information relevant to the questions. The literature, books,
research papers, journals, electronic source could be the source for gathering the information.
Afterwards, framing of the contents could be take place. Then, objectives of the thesis would be
listed out. To achieve those objectives, extensive research work is required.
