Procedure used to collect data
It has been noticed that unemployment has a negative impact on the community of Coxswain. I
the researcher issued out twenty questionnaires at different households in coxswain. The
respondents ranged ages were from fifteen to forty.

July 10, I issued out twenty questionnaires in the community of Coxswain. I collected them in
one week’s time from the date of distribution twenty completed questionnaires were collected
on July 17 2017.
Research questions
1. How unemployment affects the community of Coxswain?
2. What are the factors that contribute to unemployment?
3. What are the possible measures that can be provided to decrease the unemployment
level in the community of Coxswain?
Findings
This survey has made the following discoveries:

1. Most of the respondents were unemployed.

2. The researcher discover that majority of the respondents were unskilled.
3. Unemployment results in low standards of living
4. The likely solution to unemployment is to learn a skill.
Recommendation
The importance of persons being employed plays a major part in our society this means that
less persons would be unemployed in the community and the country at large. Citizens of the
community must ensure that they are educated as well as their child/children this enhance a
better future.

Unemployment is one of the major causes for low standards of living, hence this means that
person’s time are not being occupied with an activity (job), jobs for persons that are skilled,
unskilled and persons who have not completed school would be highly accepted.

I strongly believe that the local government can be notified about the lack of jobs within the
community and the economy at whole, they can publish the causes, effects and solution to
unemployment and how this can be broadcast through the following

Radio
Newspaper
Television

Business entities in the community should be encouraged to be involved in sponsoring evening

classes they can also help persons who cannot finance themselves into an institution.
