Production Schedule

The production schedule indicates time to be consumed for every

step in the process and the total time it take to produce each batch of the

product. It also identifies the production capacity of the business.

Total production time 42m 50m

Table 15 shows that the total production time per batch for baconite

is 42 minutes and for chickenite is 50 minutes. There are 7 baconites and

5 chickenites produced per batch. In an hour, there will be 10 baconites

and 6 chickenites produced. There would be a delay in production since it

would be done manually, however, the company assures that there are
set of standards to avoid delay in production and to run the operations

smooth.

The annual production capacity will be computed as follows:

Baconite Chickenite

10units 6units
Daily production output x8hrs = 80 units x8hrs = 48units
hr hr

Number of days in a week x 6___ x 6___

Weekly production output 480 units 288 units

Number of weeks in a year x 52__ x 52__

Anual production output 24,960 units 14,976 units

Number of workers x 2___ x2___

Annual Production Capacity 49,920 units 29,952 units

The annual production capacity of baconite is 49, 920 units and of

chickenite is 29, 952 units. The availability of raw materials is not a

problem since it is not seasonal. The product’s sales is likely to be at the

bottom during summer because the business location is near school, there

is a probability that the population will decline. The proper amount of raw

materials inventory will be maintained.
