＜経緯＞
市場における機関のシリンダヘッド排気ポート
の腐食摩耗の事例が報告されています。
低温腐食によるものとみられますが、腐食該当部
における湿気、水分の影響による腐食と考えら
れます。　以下の条件で機関が使用された場合
に腐食発生の可能性がありますので、留意下さい。
1) 吸気マニフォールドのドレン弁を全閉のまま
使用している場合。
コックが全開であってもスラッジで目詰まり
している場合もあります。
2) エアクーラから水漏れがある場合。
3) 排気弁箱から水漏れがある場合。
4) 排気弁座から水漏れがある場合。
長期使用された排気弁座で使用限度以内
であっても、Ｏリングの硬化により水漏れ
する場合があります。
5) ジャケット冷却水ラインへの相互暖気用バルブ
付き機関に於いて、同冷却水温度が低すぎる場合。
相互暖気用バルブは常時開となっておりますので、
閉じていないか確認して下さい。
＜予防の為の留意点＞
1) ジャケット冷却水温度の温度管理
（機関入口：70℃　　機関出口：75℃）
2) 給気温度の温度管理（45℃～55℃）
3) 機関停止後のエアランニングの励行
尚、軽微な腐食の場合や、腐食の予防対策としまし
て、当該部への高温酸化防止塗料の塗布をお勧め
しますが、効果、使用方法等の詳細に関しましては、
メーカに直接お問い合わせ下さい。

port corroded and water leakage appeared from
the cylinder head. This corrosion should be a

low temperature corrosion (Sulphuric corrosion)
In case the engine is used under the below
condition , the corrosion will possibly appear.
1) In case drain valve of intake manifold is .
fully closed.
Although the drain valve is open, it might be
clogged with sludge and particles.
2) In case water is leaking from air cooler.
3) In case water is leaking from exhaust valve cage.
4) In case water is leaking from exhaust valve seat.
In case of long time used exhaust valve seat,
deterioration of O ring causes water leaking.
5) Jacket cooling water temperature is too low
for the engine with inter-engine warm up
valve for jacket cooling line.
This valve should be opened always so that
please check if it is closed or not.
〈Attention for prevention〉
1) Temperature control of jacket cooling water.
(Engine inlet: 70℃　　Engine outlet: 75℃)
2) Temperature control of admission (45℃～55℃)
3) Practice of air running after stopping engine
To cope the slight corrosion or prevention for
corrosion, applying heat oxidation resistant
paint to the applicable places.is recommendable.
