Dear TAG Parents/Guardians,

We have wonderful news to share with you! Our class size has grown! We are so excited to
welcome new students into our TAG class. However, with growth, comes change. Due to the
increased numbers in third and fourth grades, we have qualified for an additional TAG teacher
for the remainder of the school year. This is wonderful news for our students as it will allow
them to get more personalized attention in class. Here is how this will affect your child from
January until May.

• Your child will have a smaller class. Instead of being in a class of 23-24 students, your
child will be in a class of 10-13 students.

• Your child’s TAG day will change. Third grade will meet on Thursdays, and fourth grade
will meet on Fridays.

• Your child will still have Ms. Sandell as a teacher. Ms. Sandell and the new teacher, Ms.
Miller will share the TAG classes. Half the class will go to Ms. Sandell for unit 2, while
the other class will meet with Ms. Miller. For unit 3, Ms. Sandell and Ms. Miller will
switch students. This way, every student in third and fourth grades will get equal time
with Ms. Sandell and Ms. Miller. Students will be split into groups by their homeroom
class.

We are so excited to welcome Ms. Miller! She has 25 years of experience teaching TAG in
Fulton county. She has even taught part-time TAG at Spalding before! In January, we will hold a
meet and greet for all third and fourth grade TAG parents to come in and meet Ms. Miller. Please
