Demonstratives

 Adjectives, jobs, places and times go after “to be verbs”.


 Your friend is angry.
 She is a surgeon.
 The food is on the table.

 We also use “to be verbs” before ages.


 I am 34 years old.
 He’s 22 years old.
 My baby is 5 months old.

 We can use “to be verbs” to talk about possession with possessive adjectives and
pronouns.
 It is my pencil.
 Your bike is nice.
