EDFA3220-D
EDFA3220-D is a signal amplification and multiplexing product provided by the multi-
system operators (MSOs) for converging CATV services and broadband services.
The main function of the product is to amplify CATV signals and then multiplex the
signals with 32-channel GPON signals. (For CATV, the default output optical power is
20 dBm.) In addition, the product implements the one-out-of-two line protection
function at the input end using a 1:2 optical switch.

Universal application
• The product can be installed in a 19” or 21” cabinet.
• The product supports indoor and outdoor installation.
• The product supports FTTB scenarios where CATV signals and PON signals are
integrated, and support full-fiber applications in CATV and FTTH services.
Modular design
• The product adopts a modular design. Each module can be removed separately,
easy to configure and easy for capacity expansion.
Proper fiber routing
• The product provides sufficient space for routing optical fibers.
High integrity
• The 2 U high product supports signal multiplexing of 32-channel PON ports.
• The front panel is equipped with 66 optical ports. 2 of them are used for
active/standby protection of input CATV optical signals, 32 of them are connected to
PON ports, and the other 32 of them are connected to the COM output ports.
Environment-friendly
• The product is environment-friendly. All the materials used by the product do not
contain any hazardous substances such as Pb, Hg, Cd, Cr, poly-brominated
diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and poly-brominated biphenyls, complying with RoHS
requirements.
