Convergence Initiative of Muncipality of Kabacan, North Cotabato

V Rationale:

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a conditional cash transfer program of the Philippine
government under the Department of Social Welfare and Development.It aims to eradicate
extreme poverty in the Philippines by investing in health and education particularly in ages 0–
18.

AHON is a project formed by the convergence to provide materials and financial support to the
deserving students, regardless of sex, religion, ethnic group or tribe, who are in extreme poverty.
We believe that education is the foundation for a better future and that hope and equal
opportunities should be given to all children.

Being equipped with the proper tools for school is essential to academic success. However, for
many school-aged children in Sitio Dilutan, Barangay Tamped, Kabacan, Cotabato, education has
taken a backseat due to greater family needs such as foods and utilities. In order to break the
cycle of poverty and hunger, children must be prepared to learn nad succeed in school.

VI Objectives:
The activity aims to strengthen the operationalization of the convergence
initiative thru PROJECT AHON of Municipality of Kabacan. Specifically it aims to:

a)To provide much needed supplies to students, thereby enabling them to


better prepare for the academic challenges they would face in the coming
school year.
b)To take the finacial burden from teachers who used their personal funds
to purchase school supplies for needy children.
c)To help pupils realize the importance of learning
d)To establish and strengthen the community capability, functionality and
commitment

VII Expected output :

This activity is expected to be a inspiring, motivating and productive among


operational group of field workers that will implement the program within the
municipal level alongside with all front liners of the program, partner agencies
and stakeholders.

VIII Description of the Activity:

This activity is participated by the different partners form Local Government Unit
of Kabacam, MLhuillier, Social Workers and Convergence Staff of Kabacan and it
will be conducted every school year and monitored monthly.

IX Budgetary Requirement:

TOTAL: 500.00 x 107 participants = P53,500.00 or fifty three thousand five hundred
pesos only (June 7, 2018 )

X Recommendations:

This activity is seen as an important undertaking to strengthen the convergence


operation within the municipal level to meets its program objectives and be able
to deliver its services.
