Letter of Recommendation

It is my great pleasure to write this letter in support of Mr. Noweed Shaikh Akhtar to your esteemed
university. I have known Noweed for the past 4 years, not only as his teacher, but also as his proctor.

I instructed him in the course of Mechatronics. In all my classes, Noweed has been an active participant
in classroom discussions and has always submitted his assignments and project reports well before the
deadlines. He is well focused with a keen interest in the practical application of the subject. His habit of
relating everything taught in class with everyday applications has strengthened his base. His self-study
project on ‘Automated Door Lock’ showcased this. He automated a Euro profile cylinder type lock using
IOT and a Raspberry Pi. To enable powering the Pi board with domestic AC power, he built a step-down
transformer and optimized it to occupy limited space.

As a proctor, I see a great deal of benevolence in him. His personality and thirst for knowledge is one to
look for. He always shows a keen interest when it comes to programming or design.

Based on my observation of his abilities, I strongly believe he has the potential to be an outstanding
student by enhancing his knowledge and skill-set at your university. I therefore recommend him for
admission to your master's program.
