Abstract

The increasing cases of outrageous acts of dumping new-born babies and foetus in
Malaysia recently alarming the Malaysian to take serious attention in handling this problem.
This problem can cause negative implications it has on the babies concerned and makes it a
serious social problem that requires urgent attention. This research is about students perception
on baby dumping issues in Malaysia. This research is to identify the awareness of university
students again baby dumping issue. This paper focuses on the discussion of the findings based
on quantitative questionnaire. The research was conducted at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn
Malaysia. Questionnaire was distributed to 70 students which is There are random genders of
students as respondents in all faculties except Faculty of Computer Science and Information
Technology (FSKTM) in main campus of UTHM which is Faculty of Civil and Environmental
Engineering (13 respondents), Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (8
respondents), Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing (16 respondents), Faculty of
Technology Management and Business (27 respondents) and Faculty of Technical and
Vocational Education (6 respondents). The finding shows that students aware and alert with
the issue that come out.
