GREEN VOICE AT GLANCE
PROCEEDINGS. Initially, Green Voice was a multi-stakeholder initiative facilitated by Indonesia Climate Change
Center (ICCC), a program supported by National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) and the US Forest Service (USFS)
with funding support from the US-Indonesia Partnership (2010-2014). In October 2014, this initiative was further
developed as Green Voice Foundation (GVF) by extending its activities to cover broader issues of sustainability
including art, science, technology, and education based on what had been achieved by ICCC. In the last 2 years GVF
had been continuing working with international and key national organizations such as UNDP, UNICEF, International
Labour Organization(ILO), ICLEI-Indonesia, Plan-International/Indonesia, Office of the President’s Special
Envoy(UKPPI), UK-Climate Change Office, Green Economy Caucus of Indonesia Parliament(DPR-RI), Thamrin School of
Climate Change and Sustainability as well as Universities (ITB, UPI). In 2016, GVF in cooperation with Climate Change
Center (PPI) of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) initiated Sustainable Investment Talks aims at promoting design
and innovation of “sustainability”. Also, with the same spirit expanded networking activities through the establishment
Green Engagement Network (Indonesia, ASEAN, and Asia-Africa countries) and Online Broadcasting Radio
Geve2015.org.
VISION. Enlightening society towards Greener Indonesia movement by the time of global climate change and related
agreements ratified in 2015 and beyond
MISSION and CORE VALUES. Communicating green vision and mission to outreach society awareness through media
aggregation platform that focus on art, science, technology and education, and its related activities. We believe that
sustainable society can be achieved with strong-inclusive governance and engagement, open-minded and critical
thinking, respect to human being and nature, applying impartiality in everyday life, creating and sharing accessible
knowledge that educates, informs and ignites.

MEMBANGUN KEMANDIRIAN BERBASIS KOMUNITAS
Ada alternatif lain pengelolaan “Commons”/Common Pool Resouces (CPR)
(bentuk-bentuk kepemilikan kolektif: hutan, ruang bersama, ..) diluar negara
dan pasar yang lebih efektif dan efisien.
Ostrom (1933-2012) telah mengujinya dalam suatu teori dan praktek dalam
berbagai bidang secara solid dan meyakinkkan sehingga memperoleh
penghargaan Nobel (2009)
8 Prinsip Ostrom untuk Tatakelola Mandiri (self-governance) yang sukses:
• The CPR has clearly-defined boundaries (effective exclusion of external unentitled parties)
• There is congruence between the resource environment and its governance structure or rules
• Decisions are made through collective-choice arrangements that allow most resource appropriators to
participate
• Rules are enforced through effective monitoring by monitors who are part of or accountable to the
appropriators
• Violations are punished with graduated sanctions
• Conflicts and issues are addressed with low-cost and easy-to-access conflict resolution mechanisms
• Higher-level authorities recognize the right of the resource appropriators to self-govern
In the case of larger common-pool resources: rules are organized and enforced through multiple layers of
nested enterprises

pentingnya percepatan penyelesain tatakelola Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) secara
komprehensif dan sistemik (ekonomi, sosial, lingkungan) dan berbasis data dan informasi

• Penjajakan kerjasama Green Voice Indonesia dengan ESRI-International untuk
memperluas pemanfaatan teknologi dan akses publik terhadap data dan informasi
geospasial khususnya komunitas pendidikan dasar dan menengah (September 2017)
• Pertemuan pemangku kepentingan-1, State of the Art of Geospatial Technology and Data
StoryTelling, Bandung, 21 April 2018 yang difasilitasi oleh Green Voice Indonesia,
Center of Remote Sensing ITB dan ESRI-Indonesia dihadiri perwakilan lebih dari 30
organisasi dan mengusulkan:
• Pengembangan platform pendidikan geospatial untuk siswa
SMP/SMA/Guru/pemuda melalui data story telling
• Inisiatif Satu Data, Satu Peta untuk Citarum (#SADAP4Citarum)
• Pengembangan pemantauan dinamika spasial berbasis open platform.
• Blusukan ke Kawasan DAS terutama di berbagai sentra ekonomi dan produksi dan
Kawasan yang rentan terhadap bencana (Januari - Mei 2018)
• Pembuatan WA Group #SADAP4Citarum, 14 Mei 2018 yang melibatkan pemangku
kepentingan baik Lembaga pemerintah, non-pemerintah maupun individu yang memiliki
pengetahuan, minat maupun komitmen untuk menjadi bagian dari inisiatif ini.

(3). MEMBUMIKAN GAGASAN: PERPUSTAKAAN ABAD-21
•Melimpahnya data dan informasi merupakan potensi untuk memperbaiki
perilaku dan tatakelola yang lebih baik.

•Pada tingkat perorangan, penting juga untuk memahami dan menerapkan

nilai “keragaman dalam kesatuan” sebagai salah satu nilai bersama
sebagai sifat yang ajarkan kepada kita.

•Masyarakat yang berkelanjutan akan terwujud jika kita memperlakukan

manusia dan alam secara terhormat tanpa memandang latar belakang.

•Pada tahun 2016, Greeen Voice Indonesia, Pusat Penelitian Perubahan Iklim
(PPI) dan Perpustakaan Pusat Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) memulai
inisiatif Perpustakaan Abad ke-21, inisiatif bertujuan merevitalisasi peran
perpustakaan baru sebagai ruang bersama (Co-working Space) untuk
bertukar gagasan, pengalaman, pengetahuan, serta mendorong upaya
kolaboratif.

PRINCIPAL DEVELOPER
M. FARHAN HELMY. A scientifically-trained independent professional of natural resource and
environmental policy analysis, with special interests and extensive experiences in forestry governance,
land use and land use change and forestry (LULUCF), disaster risk reduction, urban low emission
development strategies (Urban LEDS), green investment and innovations and the use of open-platform
and open-source based tools, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related analytical
tools. In 2014, Farhan was appointed as a Chairperson of Thamrin School of Climate Change and
Sustainability. He is also Founder and Principal Advisor of Advanced Systems COmputing, Design and
Innovation (ASCODI) Laboratory at Green Voice Foundation. Part of his concern on sustainble
production and consumption, and fair supply chain values on agriculture products, he joined the
Indonesia Sustainable Coffee Cooperatives (ISCC).

AVI S. TJOKRO. Educational Consultant, Curriculum Developers for manufacturing management,

managerial skills and environment with more than 20 years experienced in national and Asean. Project
Management for human resource development activities. Her speciality is a comprehensive and
effective management of activities using Total Quality Management. Currently Avi is Secretary of
Thamrin School of Climate Change and Sustainability. Her role at Green Voice Foundation is to manage
day to day activities.
