Job description:

The co-op will be working closely with AMD’s Software Engineering group.

The work involves

1. Assist Software Development Engineers in custom development of Platform Security features

2. Participate in cross-functional teams, work closely with R&D team, and help resolve technical issues

Eligibility Criteria:

 Minimum 70% across all education with no backlogs

 Strong Knowledge in C/C++
 Windows application development
 Strong analysis and problem solving skills
 Proven interpersonal skill and teamwork
 Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle
 Scripting language, e.g. Ruby, Python, et al,
 Knowledge of PC architecture and/or the x86 micro-architecture and/or ARM knowledge
 Write and maintain technical documents
 Strong organizational, computer and communication skills

Position: Co-op Engineer

Job Description: The co-op will be working closely with AMD’s Software Engineering group.

The work involves

 Performance Analyst for the native code compiler team is responsible for analyzing
C/C++/Fortran benchmarks to identify the compiler shortcoming in terms of performance.
 The analysis will involve using various tools to identify the bottlenecks, root cause analysis and
quantifying the analysis to confirm the gains obtained.
 The Performance Analyst will also have to develop new tools or enhance existing tools so as to
help improve the analysis process.
 The Analyst will have to work closely with other AMD performance analysis teams
 Analyze the given benchmark and deliver the analysis report
 Develop analysis tools that improve the analysis process

Eligibility Criteria:

 Minimum 70% across all education with no backlogs

 Good knowledge of micro-architectural features of modern microprocessors (eg; x86 , ARM)
 Excellent programming/debugging skills
 Very solid practical C/C++/Fortran experience, inlcuding Assembly language
 Hands on with performance analysis of programs, tuning and experience with analysis tools like
profilers
 Knowledge of compiler internals and working of a modern compiler like LLVM
 Good interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
