ORDER
This matter came before the full Court on the petition of Gulliver’s Tavern, Inc., d/b/a

The Foxy Lady (“Petitioner”) for the issuance of a writ of certiorari and for a stay of the decision

of the City of Providence Board of Licenses (“Board”) dated December 19, 2018. Petitioner

seeks to have this Court review the Board’s decision t0 revoke three licenses: an entertainment

license, a food license, and a license to operate on Sundays and holidays. After careful

consideration of the parties’ written submissions, the Court orders the following:

The petition for issuance of a writ of certiorari is granted. This matter shall be placed on

the full argument calendar in April. No continuances or extensions will be granted. Petitioner

shall file its brief, not to exceed fifty (50) pages, within thirty (30) days 0f the date of this Order.

Respondents shall file their briefs, not t0 exceed fifty (50) pages, within thirty (30) days of

Petitioner’s filing its brief. Should Petitioner chose to file a reply brief, it shall be filed within

ten (10) days of Respondents’ filing their briefs, and such brief shall not exceed twenty-five (25)

pages.

The motion for stay is granted in part. The revocation 0f the licenses at issue before this

Court (i.e., entertainment, food, and Sunday/holiday) is stayed; however, Petitioner may only
resume use 0f those licenses subject to the condition that the VIP area, as that term is defined in

the Board’s decision, remains closed.

The Board shall file a transcript of the Board’s December 19, 201 8 vote revoking

Petitioner’s licenses forthwith.

This matter is referred t0 the Supreme Court Appellate Mediation Program.
