Can a wedding
be beautiful and
do its bit for local
suppliers? Yes it can – and
to prove it, Brides asked Lamp
Productions (lampproductions.

weddingscape full of covetable
details at London’s Horniman
Museum & Gardens. Lamp
stylists and planners Lotte, Anna
and Alex pride themselves on
supporting local economies and
reducing their carbon footprint.
Here, they chose locally sourced
foliage, natural fabrics and
British drinks in vintage glasses,
and considered sustainability by
choosing design elements that
can be used again (for example,
the backdrop could be artwork
in your home). Add exquisite
gowns and gems by Temperley
London and Monarc Jewellery…
and the result? A spectacularly
stylish celebration you’ll love.

We wanted to keep the ceremony

both wrote their own – which made it
quite light-hearted and personal.
We love Italian food, so we created
a menu with the resident chef, Gordie:
bruschetta with burrata, trule pasta,
then chocolate amaretto mousse to
inish. To fuel all the late-night dancing
(we got back to our room at 5am!),
we booked a wood-ired pizza van.
Instead of traditional flowers, we
opted for tropical leaves, protea lowers

To add pops of colour, Jessica’s dad
made a doughnut wall and photo wall.

love around me – however, I was still so anxious because it really felt like it was all eyes on me as the bride. So when Lulu began to cry,
it was actually great timing – everyone was focused on her, and I got to giggle and take a (much-needed!) deep breath. Lulu is a sot soul.
She’s my husband’s young cousin (she was two at the time), she has always melted our hearts and at this moment I think she was sad
because she wanted her mum – who was literally only metres away. We loved having children and babies at our wedding – the youngest
little gem was only seven weeks old. We had an ice-cream cart and a dress-up tent for them so they really could rock out and party! I think
kids make moments like these that people remember. Watching them on the danceloor, not caring how they look and just feeling the
groove, babies asleep in their prams, exhausted from the fun… the little people party hard and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
