CAC OKE-IYANU IBA ESTATE CHOIR

DEPARTMENT

The name of the choir is as above, and the following would be the guidelines and tenets it
would follow:

OBJECTIVES OF THE CHOIR: to worship the Lord through music, serve the church,
community and humanity through music at all times.

MEMBERSHIP:

 It’s open to any adult/youth persons who have met the criteria, and shares the same
values of the choir.
 It’s not limited to only members of the assembly or denomination provided the required
principles and criteria are met.
 Continuous membership is based on continuous and progressive commitment.

OFFICERS/OFFICES:

 The offices shall be according to the standard set by CAC and the needs of the
department.
 Officers are appointed by the Church Council or by election where necessary.
 The term of office is also decided by the Church Council appointment.
 The office duties and functions is according to the standard of such, also. Other roles
would be assigned based on the discretion of the senior offices, but all is within certain
guideline.

CHOIR DUTIES:

 The choir would serve the church in its capacity at all times.
 The choir would serve at any other function under the church denomination or associates
which the church is obligated to.
 The choir would serve at any other function designated by the church, church leaders and
choir leaders.
OTHER BY-LAWS:

 Attendance to all choir rehearsals and church service at the appointed time(s) is
mandatory.
 All necessary materials must be brought along to all service, rehearsals and functions.
 Grace time of 30mins is allowed, those who come in later than this would be punished.
 Once late for a Saturday rehearsal, such would not officiate for the next Sunday.
 Absenteeism is not welcomed (except on viable reasons). Frequent absenteeism leads to
suspension/probation.
 Attendance to worker’s prayer and Sunday school is compulsory.
 The stipulated officiating uniform/robe must be strictly adhered to.
 All financial obligations must be adhered to by all members.
 Your lifestyle must be according to biblical standards and CAC tenets and doctrines.
 You must perform your duties humbly with a pure heart and zeal. This is the only way to
receive deserved blessings from God.

REHEARSAL(S)/MEETING SCHEDULES:

Thursday: 5 – 7pm

Activities: Music Training & Rehearsal

Saturday: 5 – 8pm

Activities: Music training & Rehearsal

Sunday: 3 – 4:30pm

Activities: Music Training for Juveniles and Teens

2nd Sunday: after church service (1+ hour)

Activities: Fasting & Prayer

Other rehearsals can be fixed based on the discretion of the leaders. Therefore when such
happens, we are to diligently carry out our service.

N.B; failure to adhere to these (or any of these) guidelines would lead to sanctions and penalties.
