Enrollment Requirements for Independence High School

9 ‑12 Grade students are eligible to enroll at Independence High School. Independence students attend a
weekly meeting with a Supervising Teacher and attend sections of math, science, advisory and elective classes as
assigned.
▪ If a student has an IEP, then the IEP team must agree that independent study is appropriate. The current school must
coordinate an IEP meeting with the Content Specialist and our site to complete the required steps to be placed at
Independence High School.
▪ If a student is designated as an English Language Learner, then additional entrance requirements apply.

Steps to Enroll
Students currently enrolled in a SFUSD public Students NOT enrolled in a SFUSD public school
school. (charter, private, out of district, out of school)

for all other students. In order to apply you will need the following documents:
a. Parent/Guardian’s Picture ID
