Additions to the forest garden design and their functions

This bamboo Whitney arch will be designed as the welcoming entrance

to the forest garden and will be covered over with hop vines. It will be
the gateway of transition from the college to the garden.

The Arbor bamboo seating will be

placed at the northend of the garden.
Each will provide seating for one or
two people. Located near the ribes
and herb garden people will be
encouraged to pick the fruits, sit down
and relax or study in an informal way.

These bamboo benches will be set out in a circular fashion and

within the confnes of the area set aside for live performances,
informal classes or open lectures or presntations.

This Reciprical roofed wooden

structure will provide sanctuary from
the elements and can be used for rest
or as a temporary indoor classroom if
need be.

The final edition to the garden will be these round tables ( which can be
removed) and detachable round benches. They offer another option for
student relaxation or as a means of working collaboratively
