Position Paper Assignment

FOREIGN POLICY (military service, military spending and Syria)

I believe that military service should not be mandatory for all U.S. citizens at the age of

18. We all should have the choice of doing whatever we want. People don’t need to be forced to

do something they don’t want to.

I believe that military spending should be kept the same. The U.S. needs a military if it

wants protection from all the evil people that surrounds our paradise. Protection will keep us safe

and ensure that we can live without fear of leaving our houses.

CRIME (body cameras, felons voting and death penalty)

I believe that body cameras should be allowed. I don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t

have one so incase if something crazy went down then you would have it all recorded for

inspection. Body cameras can protect and be a witness for those who use them against

harassment.

I believe that felons voting should not be allowed. Why would people who committed

crimes have the right to make changes to our society by having their voice heard. They broke

rules they shouldn’t have and they should suffer for the rest of their lives.

DOMESTIC POLICY (net neutrality, gun control, drug legalization)

I believe that gun control should be enforced. Guns need to have a strict control over

them and not be allowed to anyone because they are very dangerous to everyone and you

shouldn’t have one just for self defense. Guns should only be allowed for the police because they

are our saviors and protectors.

I believe that drug legalization should not be allowed. Personally I just don't see how

cocaine can help you out of a bad mood. You shouldn’t be giving people things they don’t need.

Drugs will only destroy their body and mind with overwhelming addiction.

ENVIRONMENT (climate change regulations, climate agreement, banning disposables)

I believe that banning disposables should not be allowed. It is already something that we

all are very used to and it is our tradition. We don’t need to ban them when we can just recycle.

Banning them would just create chaos by changing something that we shouldn’t.

I believe that climate change regulations should be allowed because we need to take care

of the only planet that we live on. We can’t go anywhere else so we have to keep it clean enough

to comfortably live in. I want to go outside and breathe in the fresh clean air of nature and not

black pollution of death.

ECONOMICS (cutting public spending, taxing the rich, minimum wage)

I believe that the minimum wage should not be messed with because if it was raised then

that would mean that prices would go up. If it went any lower then how would those in minimum

wage jobs even live. So it should be kept the same so were all happy.

I believe that taxing the rich should not be allowed because if they are rich that means

they spend more money than us poor people so its money going back into the world instead of

just ripping it out of their hands with higher taxes. They earned all that money for themselves

also so if we taxed them even more then others then that wouldn’t be fair to them just because

they worked harder for a better future. The taxes should be fair with all of its victims.

IMMIGRATION (separation of children, wall, deportation of criminals)

I believe that deportation of criminals should be allowed. We must cleanse ourselves of

evil and burn all those who taint our souls. Criminals must be kicked out and away from us pure

angels.

I believe that the separation of children shouldn’t be allowed because they are only kids.

They should also be punished like their parents so the lesson is seared into their brains to never

commit any sins. They should try to live a life that they can be proud of without being dragged

down by others.

SOCIAL ISSUES (abortion, same sex marriage, gay adoption)

I believe that abortion shouldn’t be allowed. The unborn human should be given a chance

at life instead of just being murdered because it was the parents mistakes. Abortion is just giving

an early death to someone who can’t even defend themselves.

I believe that gay adoption is perfectly fine as long as the parents can provide a nice

happy life for those they adopt. Everyone should be able to live the happy life that they dream of

living. It doesn’t matter who the parents are as long as they can pour their love into their

children.

HEALTHCARE (pre-existing conditions, legalization of MJ, Obamacare)

I believe that the legalization of MJ should be allowed because if it can help people with

overwhelming depression and prevents them from committing suicide then it should be fine.

Even if it smells disgusting if it helps them MJ should be legalized. I also don’t know any of the

downsides of it other then maybe addiction.

I believe that pre-existing conditions should be helped out by health care because it could

be very horrible for those who have to endure it. Health care should be available for everyone so

we can all live happy and healthy lives. We can all achieve the dream life that we dream of if we

all try hard enough.

EDUCATION (taxing rich for student loans, common core, charter schools)

I believe that charter schools should be allowed because they give those who enter the

chance to live their own life at the pace that they want to either being faster or slower than

normal schools. I’ve never been to one so I don’t know what it's like but being able to do things

at your own pace is pretty nice. I think it can allowed students to give themselves some breathing

room instead of being crushed by pressure.

I believe that the common core is perfectly fine as it is because thats all ive ever known. I

don’t see any reason to change it because it's taught me fine throughout my life. Common core is

something we’ve done for so long that there is no reason to change it.

SCIENCE (vaccinations, nuclear power, evolution in schools)

I believe that vaccinations should be allowed for everyone. We must keep ourselves and

everyone around us safe from horrible plagues and it keeps us away from the apocalypse. We

can all live happy lives together with a little bit of vaccination.

I believe that evolution in schools is something you can believe in if you want to. A

student can choose if they want to absorb the material they are taught of not if they want to. I

don’t see any reason why it shouldn’t be taught other than it being a complete waste of time in

school.
