NARRATIVE REPORT IN MOTHER’S DAY

May 13, 2018 at City Mall, City of Ilagan, Isabela

Mother’s day is one of the important celebrations we had but sometime we forget this day
because of personal business we have and busy schedule. This special day for all mother’s out
there, to simply tell to them that we thank them for being always in our side in times we need
their help, hug and advised. For all the children, kids and students, Mother’s day is a great time
to show love to our mother. Mother’s day has been particularly dedicated to celebrate the power
of the mother in all the odd circumstances she takes care of her children in the best possible way.
She even forgets her own dreams so that her child can fulfil his/her dreams to come true. Even
her owned health is at risk to be ill just to provide the needs of her family and not like just other
employee in a company that has their day off, mother’s doesn’t have day off to be called because
24/7 mothers’ had a duty to be done to give the very best for her family. In celebration of
Mother’s Day our Department College of Health Sciences of Saint Ferdinand College was
conducted a open clinic at City Mall City of Ilagan, Isabela as treat to our mothers’ that
supposedly going in the public market to buy something that needs to their homes. We give
services such as Blood pressure taking, blood typing, haemoglobin test, glucose test and health
teaching. We as a nursing student has a duty to attend the said open clinic even it is Sunday and
even we have our own duties in our home to take care off. I am not only a nursing student but
also a mother of a two children. Not only mother but single mother but I am dedicatedly to do
my duty to attend this open clinic to simply give my thanks to the mother’s out there like me who
give our best to take care of our children and family even our own health is at risk to be ill, and
sometimes our grooming and physical appearance is compromised just to give our full attention
to our children or family. Many of my Co-nursing students are also a mother and wife.

“To the most amazing lady I have ever met with love, today I want to say that you are someone,
to whom, I can talk about anything and everything, and I know that, you are someone who will
be with me even in the darkest of the times. Thank you and I love you, Happy Mother’s Day.”
