Project background [Situation Before this Project]
Tube mills Production is manufacturing of all kinds of steel pipe made from steel coil. These
manufacture products are delivered to another manufactures who create products from these
products. Its play an important role in manufacturing of steel industry without this further
products like grills, windows, doors bicycles and etc. cannot be formed. Human control
machinery is being used for manufacturing process. Everything is manually operated by
labor.
Production management means planning, organizing, directing and controlling of production
activities. Production management deals with converting raw materials into finished goods or
products. Production management also deals with decision-making regarding the quality,
quantity, cost, etc., of production.

Name: Mehboob Tube Mills

History and Working:


It was established in 1978 by Late Haji Mehboob Alam. This organization today is under the
supervision of his five sons who are undertaking it and spreading it nationwide in Pakistan.
They buy raw material from china exporters and also from well-known organization Pakistan
Steel mills. They are manufactures of all kind of pipes that are used to make doors, windows,
cycles, buildings and other steel pipe products. They supply their products to the vendors as
well as locals over the cities of Pakistan. Their customers exist in every city of Pakistan. They
buy raw material and then set its gauge according to the requirement of their customers and
make pipes from it.

Building and Branches:


They own two branches of production factory one in Lahore and another one in Gwadar Hub.
In Karachi they directly import raw material in the form of coil on Gwadar Hub near to
Gwadar Port. Main branch is in Lahore but Gwadar’s factory is larger and producing more
products than Lahore. Also they have 2 Storehouse in Landa Bazaar and one in Badami Bagh
with the name of Mehboob Steel Traders. Also another branch with the name of Mehboob
Profile industry where they manufacture sheets and corrugated sheets in Badami Bagh.
Currently we are focusing on its Lahore branch located in Shahdara where they manufactures
pipes in all kind of variety. This building depends on four Kanals covered area. In which 2.5
Kanals covering the manufacturing area and 1 Kanal for raw material and ready products.
Also there is storage room where they store the material for machine maintenance, restroom,
owner’s office, accounts department, security guard room. Also there is a place where they
keep waste material.

To become a leading steel company in South Asia committed to serve stakeholders by
offering quality products through innovative and cost effective manner in environmental
friendly conditions.

Needs:
Our needs is to manufacture steel pipe in low cost with more production in less time to get
more profit and increase the production of our organization with providing good quality of
work.

Opportunity:
Less production in more time causing increases in cost of production. It will helps to
overcome this issue and more products can be manufactured in less time which will
ultimately decrease the cost of production.
