ferred with it upon change of ownership

 Safety precautions

1. Before assembling and firing this assault rifle, be ab-

solutely certain that the barrel is cleaned.
2. Never leave the assault rifle loaded and unattended.
3. In the case of misfire after the trigger has been pulled,
keep the rifle pointing at the target for at least 1 min.
4. Always load and unload the rifle with the muzzle
pointing at a safe direction.
5. Check your ammunition, to determinate that they are
of correct caliber.
6. Reloaded cartridges can be dangerous to you and
your weapon

 Assembling of assault rifle

Assembly follows the exact reverse sequence of dis-

assembly steps.

Cleaning

The assault rifle is in field stripped condition.

Before cleaning of barrel bore, connect the cleaning rod
with the box for SPTA set as follows:
- cleaning rod should be passed through the box big
hole, so that the cleaning rod head should enter the box and
should rest against the box wall;

 Remove the recoil mechanism

Hold the end of the recoil mechanism and push it for-

ward until it clears its grooved seat in the receiver. Lift it up
lightly and pull it back to remove the recoil mechanism from
the bolt carrier.

Remove the bolt carrier with the rotating bolt

Holding the rifle with left hand on the front part of the
receiver, grip the bolt carrier handle with right hand and
draw it back firmly to the fully rear of its travel. Lift the bolt
carrier from the receiver and draw it to the rear and out.

5.56x45 mm AR-M9 and AR-M9F can be fitted with
40 mm ARSENAL Underbarell Grenade Launchers UBGL-M
family. The ARSENAL Grenade Launchers are powerful
close support weapons intended to fire 40 mm ARSENAL
Low Velocity Round RVL-F (type M 406).

Remove the cleaning rod
Place the rifle with butt pointed downwards and hold
it by lower and upper handguard in this position. Take the
cleaning rod and by light twists take out the cleaning rod
head from the rest of fore sight base and pull it up.
Remove the receiver cover
Holding the butt firmly in one hand with the thumb of
this hand push the end of the recoil guide till it releases the
receiver cover. By the other hand lift the receiver cover rear
end upward and back and remove it.
On firing with

The receiver cover of these assault rifles can be re-
moved by pushing the receiver cover latch.

Unloading the assault rifle

With the rifle pointed at a safe direction grip the maga-

zine is gripped with hand so the thumb should be placed
behind the magazine latch. While pressing this latch for-

Still holding the rifle by forearm, set the fire selector in any
of the posi-

bolt carrier
handle and pull
it to move
backwards the
movable parts,
in order to ex-
tract and eject
any unfired
round that may
remain in the
barrel chamber. Hold the handle to the rear and visually in-
spect both barrel chamber and bolt face to confirm the un-
loaded status.
Release the bolt carrier handle and while the rifle is
pointed at a safe direction, pull the trigger in order to re-
lease the hummer. Now set the fire selector to the utmost
upper position.

Brief description of the assault rifle
The assault rifle belongs to the firearms whose action
is based on the principle of conveying a part of the powder
gases through a special port in the wall of the stationary
barrel and their influence onto the bolt carrier.
The barrel is closed by turning the bolt and engaging
the firing stops in the receiver.
The feeding of cartridges into the rifle is carried out by
an arcuated staggered transparent plastic magazine with
capacity of 30 or 20 rounds.
The sight consists of sectors marked for shooting at a
distance of up to 800 m and has two phosphoric spots on
both sides o leaf notch suitable for aiming at dusk.
The trigger-firing mechanism has a hammer, that is ac-
tivated by the firing spring.
This mechanism has a Safety device for setting from
single to automatic fire mode as well as contrariwase.
The Safety simultaneously serves as a safety lever pre-
venting the accidental shoots - position “S”.
The Safety has two levers - right hand and left hand.
The right hand lever is located on the right side of the
receiver and have a form of a long pivoted lever. The left
hand lever is located under the receiver, on the left side of
the pistol grip. When the right hand lever is set in the ut-
most upper position the trigger is blocked. In this position
the Safety serves two other functions:
- it prevents polluting of the receiver through the bolt
frame handle slot in the receiver cover;
- it prevents from reloading the barrel chamber.
Depending on the fire mode which is desired to (auto-
matic or single), the end of the right hand lever should be
pushed downwards, or the end of the left hand lever should

be pulled rearwards, so that the tip of the levers should point
the marks indicating automatic fire mode -”30” and single
fire mode - “1”, marked on the receiver side and on the pis-
tol grip side.
The lower handguard, upper handguard, pistol grip and
the butt are made of highly strong and hardy plastics.
The assault rifles are produced with plastic butt or metal
folding butt.
In marching position the metal butt is folded and set
on the right side of the receiver.
According to the rules, shooting should be lead with
extended butt, but if necessary shooting could be with
folded butt.

Caution! Unless you are in process of firing or

you intend to do this immediately, right hand safety
lever should always be kept in utmost upper position
“S”, regardless of whether the assault rifle is loaded
or unloaded
