COHABITATION

Introduction

Cohabitation is the type of relationship that a couple establishes when, without being
married by the Church or civil and without having the final intention of getting
married, they share a roof and a bed.

Cohabitation can start at any time and can be done by people of any age and sex,
without formal requirements.

Body

Cohabitation is characterized by its instability and lack of commitment of the couple

to each other, to society and to the children that may arise from the relationship.

For example, when a cohabiting couple has children, the father is not entitled to the
legal presumption of paternity and may even need to establish paternity through a
blood test and legal action.

When a cohabitant dies, his assets pass into the hands of whoever is mentioned in
his will or, if there is not, of his relatives, according to the state laws. The cohabiter
has no right to claim the property, unless it is mentioned in the deceased's will.

Conclusion

In conclusion, cohabitation is especially harmful to children.

Also, there is a risk of the couple separating, creating even more social and personal
difficulties.

And above all, cohabitation is not accepted by the church of God, because for God
marriage is the essential thing.
