Lead the development and functioning of learning communities at the George
camps. Assist college-wide Learning Community Coordinator. Work with

2/2014 – Present Developmental Coordinator


Supervise the instruction of developmental courses for the Wilmington English
department. Assist Department Chair in scheduling upcoming semester course
schedule. Perform evaluations of adjunct faculty. Maintain and redesigned the
organizational page for existing developmental courses. Work with College-
wide redesign for developmental English courses. Develop course content for
ENG090/091, and 006/007, including but not limited to, assignments, rubrics,
exams, and weekly schedule. Design, create, and maintain organizational page
for new developmental courses. Co-developed new processes for diagnostic
testing. Created English diagnostic exams. Act as representative and contributor
for TAACCCT I OER project. Develop learning community involving MAT012
and ENG090.

Acted as course leader for Critical Reading and Thinking Course, a college-wide
required course. Taught sections of Technical Writing, Composition, Critical

Other Duties
Worked with Applied Science department in assisting students to prepare oral
presentations as part of accreditation process. Advised undeclared students at
registration. Acted as faculty advisor for the Stanton Campus Diversity Club,
and English Honor Society. Worked on committee for $100, 000 grant for
Learning Communities. Co-developed survey for First Year Experience.Worked

5/2000—12/2006 Director of The Writing Center
Directed the initiation and implementation of a full time Writing Center at the
Stanton Campus. Supervised the daily operations of the Writing Center:
conducted daily tutoring sessions with students, introduced faculty to new media
of writing instruction, and assisted in the proper functioning of the English
department. Gave presentations on the use of Daedalus Interactive Writing
environment (DIWE) and Blackboard for instructors. Acted as a point of contact
for adjuncts. Delivered seminars on literary analysis, APA, writing for
scholarships and university applications, and electronic research.

Advisor
Met with students who have academic concerns and are in need counseling.
Worked as a general advisor during open registration. Arranged student
schedules. Acted as advisor of Creative Expression Society. Edited and designed
the annual literary journal. Promoted and coordinated the annual poetry reading.
Testing
Devised the testing process for challenge exams in ENG 122, ENG 121, and
RDG 120. Evaluated challenge exams. Administered all English/Reading
diagnostic exams.

Additional Activities
Acted as editor and founder of a chapbook for the Diversity Committee. Spoke
at Diversity celebration. Attended the 2003, and 2004 MLA conference.
Attended the University of Delaware's MA program in English; currently
working on editing and writing and article on unpublished material by Meridel
LeSueur. Gave lecture on electronic research for a visiting middle school class.
Attended Everett Meredith Middle School to speak on careers in English.
Attended the 2005 MLA conference. Attended the 2006 & 2008 NCTE national
convention. Social Media Director for TYCA-NE from 2017. Served on
Multiple Measures task force 2018-2019.
