Islam and Submission are not names, they are descriptions reflecting the soul's absolute
devotion and submission to God Alone. This is the First Commandment in all of God's
scriptures, including the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Final Testament,
Quran.
Submitters are the true followers of God's religion. While every religion has been
corrupted by innovations, traditions, and false, idolatrous doctrines, there may be
"Submitters" within every religion. There may be Submitters who are Christian, Jewish,
Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or anything else. These Submitters, collectively, constitute the
only religion acceptable to God. All Submitters who are devoted to God Alone, and do
not set up any idols beside God, are redeemed into God's eternal kingdom. (Quran 2:62,
5:69)
Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians,
and the converts; anyone who
(1) believes in God, and
(2) believes in the last day, and
(3) leads a righteous life,
will receive their recompense from their Lord;
they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
This is God's final message to humanity. All of God's prophets have come to this world,
and all the scriptures have been delivered. The time has come to purify and consolidate
all the messages delivered by God's prophets into one message, and to proclaim that
henceforth, there is only one religion acceptable to God, "Submission" (3:19, 85).
"Submission" is the religion whereby we recognize God's absolute authority, and reach
an unshakeable conviction that God Alone possesses all power; no other entity possesses
any power that is independent of Him. The natural result of such a realization is to devote
our lives and our worship absolutely to God Alone. This is the First Commandment in all
the scriptures, including the Old Testament. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
While every religion has been corrupted by innovations, traditions, and false,
idolatrous doctrines, there may be "Submitters" within every religion. There may
be Submitters who are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or anything
else. These Submitters, collectively, constitute the only religion acceptable to
God. All Submitters who are devoted to God Alone, and do not set up any idols
beside God, are redeemed into God's eternal kingdom. A criterion of the true
submitters is that they will find nothing objectionable in the Quran.
Muhammad, peace be upon him, lived in total commitment to the belief that God
(Allah in Arabic) was truly One God, and as such, He was to be worshipped alone,
without any other "gods" beside Him. This is the very first commandment in the
Old Testament (Exodus chapter 20, verses 3-6 and Deuteronomy, chapter 5, verses 7-10)
Muhammad (peace be upon him) never fell into the common practice of his tribesmen to
worship statues, idols or man-made "gods." He forbid his followers to ever engage in
worship outside of the one true God (Allah) of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all the
prophets (peace be upon them all). In Holy Quran 98:4-5
And the people of the Scripture Jews and Christians did not differed amongst
themselves until after there came to them clear evidence.
And they were commanded only to worship Allah, and worship none but Him
Alone and perform prayers and give charity and that is the right religion.
Recall when Abraham's Lord tested him with commands that he fulfilled.
Allah said, Surely, I am going to make you a leader of mankind. (Abraham said)
and my offspring too. (Allah) said, my covenant does not include wrongdoers.
And recall when (Allah) made the House (ka'bah in Makkah) a place of resort for
mankind and a place of safety. And it is your place of prayer, and (Allah)
commanded Abraham and Ishmael to purify for those who are circling it, or
staying there or bowing or prostrating themselves.
And when Abraham said, My Lord, make this city a place of security and provide
its people with fruits, for them that believe in Allah and the Last Day. (Allah)
answered, As for him who doesn't believe, I shall leave him in contentment for a
while, then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire, and worst indeed is that
destination.
And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the Sacred
House (Ka'bah in Makkah), saying, Our Lord! Accept from us. Certainly! You are
the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
Our Lord! And make us submissive unto you and of our offspring a nation
submissive unto you, and show us our Manasik (ceremonies of pilgrimage) and
accept our repentance. Truly, you are the One who accepts repentance, the most
merciful.
Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall recite unto
them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book and full knowledge of (Allah's)
Laws and jurisprudence, and sanctify them. Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the
All-Wise.
And who turns away from the religion of Abraham except him who fools himself?
Truly, (Allah) chose him in this world and verily, in the Hereafter he will be
among the righteous.
When his Lord said to him, submit (Islam means submission)! He said, I have
submitted myself to the Lord of all that exists. And this (submission to Allah) was
ordered by Abraham upon his sons and by Jacob; saying, O my sons! Allah has
chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Submission.
Muhammad, peace be upon him, performed these same ceremonies in worship to what
we find that all the prophets were doing before him, bowing to toward the ground and
prostrating (falling on the face) while praying and worshipping. Muslims ( those who
submit to the will of God perform ablution before prayer,
Muslim while lifting up their hands, they proclaim: Allahu Akbar means God is Great.
So in Psalm 48, 1
Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy
mountain.
All the Prophets in the Bible prayed as Muslims pray with the face down on the floor so it
is said in Numbers 20, 6
Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting
and fell facedown, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them.
And during the time of Nehemiah the forms of worship were clearly described.
(Nehemiah 8,6)
Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and
responded, "Amen! Amen!" Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with
their faces to the ground.
Also Jesus (Peace be upon him) and his disciples prayed the same way as Muslim prays.
In Matthew 26,39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father,
if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.
In Matthew 17,6
When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified.
In Revelations 7,11
All the angels were fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God.
In Psalm 95, 6
Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker
In Judges 13, 20
As the flame blazed up from the altar toward heaven, the angel of the Lord
ascended in the flame. Seeing this, Manoah and his wife fell with their faces to
the ground.
In Kings 1: 18, 39
When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, The Lord, he is God!
The Lord, he is God!
In Ezekiel 9, 8
While they were killing and I was left alone, I fell facedown, crying out, Ah,
Sovereign Lord! Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this
outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?
In Joshua 5, 14
Joshua fell on his face to the earth and did worship and said unto him, What
message does my Lord have for his servant?
Do we pray like the messengers of the God have prayed. We must realize that human
beings chosen by God to bring God’s message, are the best of human beings. To not
follow their lead is illogical and arrogant. Bow down and prostrate to God and ask for
guidance. It is God, alone, who can guide us.
With the advent of this Testament, God's message to the world is now complete.
