19. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE GENERAL FUNCTION OF THE UNIT OR SECTION
Repository of all (active/inactive) original and digitized records; Maintenance of a state-of-the-art records facility; manage/handle the operation as to preservation, protection,
storage, retention of records on file thru microfilming and digitization/scanning, disposition and recovery of all records by adopting the implementing rules and regulations of
R.A 9470 (National Archives of the Phil Act 2007); conversion of Microfilmed Records into digital format for back-up file purposes and easy retrieval; creation and maintenance
of database for the following records NBI cases; criminal court cases; and fingerprint Chart (Criminal, civilian and alien); Fingerprint for New Born Babies; and Iris Identification.
