Greetings of peace and prosperity!

I am glad to inform your good office that consistent with my Study Plan, I am now enrolled
in Dissertation Writing 1 pursuing the degree program, _______________________ here at
_________________________ under the CHED Scholarship Grant. Also, I am targeting to have
my proposal defense this term which is entitled
“_______________________________________________”. The main purpose of this study is
to

______. The proposed study will be made possible through the collaboration between the
researcher and purposively selected public school teachers of which data collection shall
commence next School Year 2019-2020 from June 2019 to March 2020. The whole school year
is allotted for the study because the identified topics for lesson study are distributed from First to
Fourth Quarter.
Also, it can be observed from my Study Plan that I only have two (2) academic terms left
for Dissertation Writing which is not feasible given the rigorous nature this qualitative study
requires. Further, the depth, breadth and essence of this proposed study is knowledge/ theory
generation rather than hypothesis testing.
Thus, I am humbly appealing from your good office that I may be granted the maximum
allowable extension of one (1) year in my scholarship grant from ___________________ to
_________________. Attached is my Study Plan and Gantt Chart of proposed activities for your
reference.
Rest assured that the requested time for extension of the scholarship will be devoted to
honing my research skills which I hope to share to my future mentees and colleagues to further
advance the research culture in our university as envisioned by this K to 12 Transition Scholarship
Program.
Indeed, your approval will surely be a great help and noble blessing.
Most of all, I am taking this opportunity to express my deep gratitude for the confidence in
sending me for scholarship in such a prestigious university. I am aware that upon earning the
