SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMP
Scope: Enrichment courses are available to Moorestown students and non-resident students. Specific
information pertaining to course content is included.

Before and After Camp Care: Before and after camp child care will be offered for an additional fee. Schedule

*Students attending the After Camp Care Program should be picked up promptly. Late fees will be charged

*The Board of Education reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Should this occur,
participants will be notified of any changes in the class offerings via phone or e-mail. If the class is scheduled to
run, there will be no tuition refunded after May 15, 2019. Any classes cancelled by the district will be refunded in
full. Please note convenience fees for online payment are non-refundable.
Transportation: There is no transportation available for the Enrichment Program.
Code of Behavior:
All students in the Moorestown Summer Enrichment Camp Program should follow all of the policies of
Moorestown Township Public Schools. Students who refuse to abide by these rules will be given one warning
before dismissal from the program. Students dismissed in such cases will not be entitled to a refund of tuition.

Course Description: Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach
the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands, or
discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is
sure to have a great time.

Cool Kids Summer Cooking Camp Grades: Rising K- 6th

Course Description: Join me for an introduction to cooking. Get ready for a delicious and
educational camp. We will create Fruit Rainbow Pizzas, make ice cream in a bag, and test out
No Bake summer recipes! Learn to make your own healthy energy bites and yummy smoothies. Practice counting
and spelling with pretzels. Enjoy some summer fun with friends creating your own mini Jell-O Aquariums and
Sand pudding. Remember that “Good food, leads to a good mood”. Let’s eat! 

Course Description: Travel to the Nether with Snapology, but watch out for those creepers! Come join us as we
bring Minecraft® to life using LEGO® bricks. Create your own world, including animals, creepers, and your very
own Minecraft® character.
Junior Drone Pilots Grades: Rising1st -2nd

Class Meets: Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: Junior Drone Pilots is specifically designed for campers with little to no experience flying
drones. We use the safest and most reliable drone products on the market, including the Parrot™ drones for
enhanced safety and most of all, fun. Campers will learn the basics of drone technology and safety before taking to
the air. Through the use of iPad flight simulators and clear instructions on basic flying maneuvers, young Drobots’
pilots will experience a program filled with excitement, games, challenges, and learning. Campers work all week
long to prepare for the most enjoyable part of the week: the Ultimate Drone Games that include events such as: Tic-
Tac-Drone, Drone Darts, Duck-Duck-Drone, and more. All campers go home with interactive workbooks and
plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and
the social responsibilities of flying drones are included in this program.
Kids in the Kitchen – Healthy Cooking Camp Grades: Rising 1st-5th

Course Description: This signature cooking program will lay a solid foundation of cooking skills to
last a lifetime. Children will learn to make healthy snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners for
him/herself. This is a great core cooking program for kids age 6-11 who enjoy cooking or just want to learn some
important kitchen skills and build confidence in the kitchen. Camp also includes nutrition activities and fitness.

LEGO Builders- Come have Fun with LEGOS!

Course Description: This enrichment class is an exploratory hands-on experience. This course will
involve creating a product out of Legos by following a set of criteria. This will be an opportunity for upcoming 2 nd
and 3rd graders to work collaboratively to create a LEGO® product.

Bubble Bonanza! Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: From Engineering Adventures created by the Museum of Science, Boston,
kids will explore how bubbles behave and investigate the properties of different materials as they
engineer all kinds of bubble wands using the Engineering Design Process. The week wraps up with a
Bubble Bonanza Showcase where kids demonstrate their creations!

Ultimate Drone Obstacle Challenge Grades: Rising 3rd -5th

Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: Ultimate Drone Obstacle Challenge is specifically designed for both the novice and
experienced drone enthusiasts. This is week is filled with pure action as students enjoy one of the world’s fastest
growing sports, Drone Obstacle Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the
history behind drone racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through various skill challenges and learn
how to perform various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Campers
will use iPads and remote controls to navigate the drone through short and long obstacle courses. Participants will
also create the design and help build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activity and
competition. All campers go home with interactive workbooks and plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and
trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and the social responsibilities of flying drones
are included in this program.
Macramé with Me Grades: Rising 3rd-8th

Course Description: Macramé is a form of knotting, similar to weaving. Each day we will create new
projects to take home with yarn, twine and beads. The projects we will create include: friendship bracelets,
key chains, dream catchers, plant hangers and an owl wall art hanging. Students will master the art of the
square knot as well as various combination of half-hitches to create fun projects to take home.

Roblox® and 3D Game Development Section A-Grades: Rising 3rd-5th
Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm Section B- Grades: Rising 6th-8th
Course Description: Roblox offers students the opportunity to actively engage in the creative process and learn
fundamental coding, design, and entrepreneurial skills that will give them the confidence to excel in this week of
camp and beyond. Campers will learn how to use the Roblox engine to create games using the Lua programming
language. Our creation tools and educational content will be used to expose campers to unique skills as they
collaborate in teams to design blueprints and test their games. In the end, all campers finish the week with a
published title that can be shared with families and friends. No prior experience is required. We provide all
technology on location.
Note: Drobots believes in the educational philosophy that students learn best when collaborating with their peers.
From a social standpoint, campers learn teamwork, cooperation, and the importance of sharing and implementing
ideas. This philosophy has been supported by some the world’s leading educators and technologists and backed by

Candy Math & Science Grades: Rising 5th-6th

Course Description: Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you love Math and Science? What if I told
you that you could enjoy both at the same time? If I got your attention, then this mouth-watering class is for you!
Conduct hands-on experiments and activities using your favorite treats to explore the worlds of Math and Science.
Topics that are covered include statistics, fractions, decimals, percents, chemistry, and physics. This class will be sure
to be a delectable treat during your summer months! (Accommodations can be made for food allergies as needed.)

Course Description: Does your child like to use their imagination and creativity in the kitchen? In this course, we
will team up to write tasty cupcake recipes and learn how to measure and combine ingredients to make the ultimate
tasty treats! Each day, we will bake a new recipe that your child helps create using the freshest ingredients! As the
week progresses, the creations will be more and more creative and detailed. The group will be divided into two
teams with a “championship bake off” at the end of the week! Your child will bring home a cookbook including all
of the recipes from the week and plenty of scrumptious treats!

You be the Judge: Introduction to Mock Trial Grades: Rising 7th-12th

Course Description: Do you like to argue and debate? Then join this highly interactive and
engaging camp where students get to be the lawyers, judge and jury. Through arguing and adjudicating mock trail
scenarios students will gain a better understanding of the law and how it is applied while practicing critical
thinking skills. They will gain greater confidence with public speaking by assuming the roles of attorneys and
witnesses in a fictional criminal or civil trial. Participants experience first-hand the difficulties that lawyers, judges,
and juries face in determining which facts are relevant and what legal arguments are effective.

Life is a Garden, Dig In! Grades: Rising K- 6th

Course Description: Let’s have summer fun exploring nature and learning about gardening. Delve
into your artistic side as we make DIY Bird Feeders, create an Outdoor Fairy Garden, venture on a Nature
Scavenger Hunt and preserve nature discoveries with a collage. You’ll also find your inner hippie with Nature Tie
Dye Shirts that you can show off later.

StemQuest Jr.: Aliens v. Wizards Grades: Rising 1st-2nd

Course Description: StemQuest unplugs campers from the computer screen in this action-packed, story-based
program. Throughout the week campers will be constantly on the move as they experiment and play. StemQuest
has intentionally extracted the wide-array of exhilarating challenges and mysteries from popular gaming apps and
turned it all into a live adventure. Campers will use age-appropriate rovers, bots, drones, and autonomous creative
technology to jump over walls, push down obstacles, lift up boulders, and navigate through galaxies. Teams of
campers work together in indoor, outdoor and open-spaced “worlds” throughout the week. In doing so, campers
utilize life skills such as: collaborative problem solving, design, and curiosity, to outwit, out-build, and out-smart
the program instructor, The Wizard.

Course Description: Taught by Moorestown High School Theater directors, this course focuses on the basics of
musical theater with work on acting, singing, and dancing using scenes and songs from popular Broadway/Disney
productions. The week will culminate in an informal performance of learned material. (Different material will be
used in the AM and PM session, so students may sign up for either or both).

Course Description: Who doesn’t love to bake? In this class we will examine baking goodies from
cakes to muffins, cookies and even pizza! Each day will feature delicious treats – all prepared using
healthy ingredients! Kids will learn baking skills and enjoy their creations! This camp also features
nutrition activities and fitness!

Junior Minecraft® Grades: Rising 2nd-4th

Course Description: Experience the wonderful world of Minecraft. Construct your own virtual world in a
sandbox-like environment by using iPads to challenge your mind and create your own adventures. This fun
and engaging camp will spark interests, foster creativity and help you maximize your learning potential. No prior
experience with Minecraft or iPads necessary. All skill levels welcome.

Course Description: Parents, are you always on Pinterest saving fun crafts you wish you had time to do with the
children? Well, this summer I can help you get that done! Have your child join us for some summertime crafting
fun. Crafts will include string art, canvas crayon art, and much more! If your kids love to craft, they’ll have a blast!

Bringing Cursive Back: A relaxing way to learn this writing style Grades: Rising 2nd-10th
Course Description: Did you learn cursive, then forget how to write it? This class will present cursive writing in a
fun, and relaxed manner. Listen to music, bring a book, and watch a video! Writing by hand in cursive improves
brain development in the areas of thinking, language, and working memory. In this class you will: Create your own
story, learn calligraphy, speed up your writing, and improve your memory.

Digital Assistants: Hey Siri, Let’s Build An AI Section A- Grades: Rising 3rd-5th
Course Description: The ultimate Artificial Intelligence (AI) camp. Can you tell the
difference between a human and a robot? Learn about the design and programming behind
modern digital assistant software like Alexa, Siri, and Cortana in this innovative camp.
Students build their own artificial intelligence personality that can answer questions,
complete requests, and chat about topics of their choosing using real HTML and
JavaScript code. No prior experience is required. We provide all technology on location.
Campers will be thrilled to bring home their digital portfolio at the end of the week and continue to work on their

Interactive Storytelling with Coding Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: Coders and creative writers will be introduced to basic programming and collaborate with
one another as they create interactive stories, design animations, and persist through difficult tasks. Students will
develop problem solving skills as they solve coding puzzles and create their own animations. Topics covered will
be: Sequencing, repetition, conditional logic, animation, storytelling, problem solving, debugging, and more! NO
previous experience is required.

Brick Art & Design Lab (Art History) Grades: Rising 3rd-8th

Course Description: Edgar Degas, a famous artist, once said, 'Art is not what you see, but what you make others
see'. As your child learns about different types of art and the periods they were created, students will be
interpreting what they see and creating their own works of art using LEGO® bricks. Through Snapology’s
interactive Art History class, children will learn about Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Wright’s
Falling Water, and many more!
LEGO Beginners NXT and EV3 ROBOTICS – Grades: Rising 4th-6th

Course Description: This enrichment class is an inquiry based, minds-on, hands-on learning experience helping
students engage their minds to help prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. The students will be making real life
connections through engaging activities and cooperative learning. The activities will focus around utilizing Legos
and a computer program to explore robotics engineering. This course will utilize the LEGO® MINDSTORMS®
technology /NXT software.

Fun with 3D Printing Grades: Rising 5th-8th
Course Description: Students will learn to use design software to create fun projects that will be 3D printed.

Drone Racing & Obstacle Course Challenge Grades: Rising 6th -8th
Course Description: This program is filled with pure action as students enjoy one of the world’s fastest growing
sports, Drone Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the history behind drone
racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through various skill challenges and learn how to perform
various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Flight squads post up
against one another in friendly competition when they race themselves and the clock. Students will first maneuver
the drone through creative obstacle courses before taking on the challenge of flying for speed. Rolling and jumping
drones are also used in this program. Participants contribute fully in this program as they create the design and help
build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activities and competition. All campers go home
with plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer.
The Illuminati & Other Conspiracy Theories Grades: Rising 8th-12th

Class Meets: Mon.- Fri. 12:15pm-3:30pm
Course Description: Conspiracy thinking has been a part of American society since the nation’s
founding. This multimedia course will survey some of the most widely held conspiracy theories to
have emerged from our society, including the Illuminati and the New World Order, presidential assassinations,
and 9/11. With an emphasis on media literacy and critical thinking, we will seek to identify the rhetoric and
psychology supporting conspiracy theories. Students will emerge from the camp with a better understanding of the
differences between conspiracies and conspiracy theories, the historical context for the belief in conspiracy
theories, and the use of evidence and argumentation in critically analyzing conspiracy theories.

Course Description: JumpBunch Camp introduces young children to a wide range of sports in a fun, positive
manner. JumpBunch encourages healthy habits, improved coordination and confidence. JumpBunch coaches bring
colorful, age appropriate equipment, music and crafts to deliver a high energy, educational, fun experience! Each
day of camp will follow the same flow so that our campers will feel comfortable and enjoy consistency while
adapting creatively each day to tie into the day’s “Theme” * This week’s themes will include: Super Hero Training
Camp, Summer Olympics, Under the Sea, Fun in the Sun, and Animal Kingdom Adventure. We hope to see you

RoboPets Grades: Rising K-3rd

Class Meets: Mon.–Fri. 8:30am-11:45am
Course Description: Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple animal models that
teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building a fish or alligator or
discovering ways that gears and wheels and axles create movement while building robotic dogs or frog, your child
is sure to have a great time!
Vets in Training Grades: Rising K- 6th

Course Description: Vets in Training is coming to Summer Enrichment Camp! Please join us
for the week to explore the world of veterinary medicine. Each day will be a fun and exciting
topic. Some examples are animal yoga, breeds bonanza, wellness exams, and ocean animals.
There will be one dissection lab too! And of course, we will bring along some of our VIT animals so you can
spend some time with them while learning what it takes to be a vet and care for a variety of animals. *Previous
VIT participants, please note new content is covered at each VIT program.

Adventures with Star Wars® Grades: Rising K- 8th
Course Description: If you love Star Wars®, this is the class for you. Come participate in Star Wars® themed
activities using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools, build scenes from the movie, build ships,
lightsabers, you name it... May the force be with you.
Junior Drone Coders Grades: Rising 1st-2nd

Course Description: Junior Drone Coders is specifically designed for campers with little to no experience flying
drones or coding. Campers will learn the basic principles of how to code drones to fly. To complement the coding
aspect of the program, we teach the campers how to utilize basic flight terminology to conquer fun and interactive
flight challenges. Campers will learn to pitch, yaw, and roll through self-created obstacle courses and then utilize
iPads to code the drones through the obstacle courses. All campers go home with interactive workbooks and plenty
of Drobots Company keepsakes and trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and the
social responsibilities of flying drones are included in this program.
NASA & Mad Science: Future Space Explorers Grades: Rising 1st-5th
Course Description: Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration!
We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets,
moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Campers will investigate the mechanics of
unique flying machines, such as balloon-copters, boomerangs, and mini hovercrafts. Children will learn
how early “pilots” navigated throughout space as they create their own sextant and sundial. Kids will get firsthand
experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut.
Kids will love to build their own Mad Science rocket, and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket
launch. Campers will have lots of projects to make and many cool NASA take homes, including a gravity assisted
launcher, a Shuttle Copter, and more! Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these
activities for Summer Camps. This Camp is Out of this World!

Potions, Powders & Polymers Grades: Rising 1st-5th
Course Description: Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! In our full day camp you’ll create erupting foam monsters,
conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, investigate the science of illusions and build
spectroscopes to view the spectrum of different types of light. We’ll also reveal many mysteries of science as we
investigate creepy creatures, learn troll tricks, capture a rainbow in a bottle, make instant snow, mix up glowing
slime and conduct lab tests on mystery substances.
Kids in the Kitchen- Cafeteria Crew Grades: Rising 1st-5th

Course Description: Get ready to whip delicious lunches Bento style at this fun, delicious and nutritious cooking
camp. We will take a trip around the world creating lunches from foods from locales such as Italy, Mexico and
Thailand all in a neat bento container perfect for school come September! The focus for each class is nutrition
based and will also feature fitness and nutrition based activities.

StemQuest: Clash Royale Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: StemQuest unplugs campers from the computer screen in this narrative-based program. We
have intentionally extracted the wide-array of exhilarating challenges and mysteries from gaming and esports and
generated a live adventure. Campers will use rovers, bots, drones, and other autonomous creative technology to
jump over obstacles, push down walls, lift up boulders, toss energy balls, and navigate through mazes. Teams of
campers work together indoors, outdoors and in open-spaced “arenas” throughout the week, utilizing life skills
such as: design and systems thinking, collaborative problem solving, curiosity, mindfulness, and imagination to
outwit, out-build, and out-smart one another as well as the program instructor, The Wizard. Use your resources
wisely to defend the kingdom and lead your clan to victory!

Course Description: Learn to design video games like the pros using one of the world's most popular game
development platforms, Unity. Build a unique game from the ground up by conceptualizing, designing, and then
developing your ideas. Learn the fundamentals of C# in order to bring your games to life! Camper designs will be
accessible post camp. No prior experience is required. We provide all technology on location.

Course Description: Taught by Moorestown High School Theater directors, this course focuses on the basics of
musical theater with work on acting, singing, and dancing using scenes and songs from popular Broadway/Disney
productions. The week will culminate in an informal performance of learned material. (Different material will be
used in the AM and PM session, so students may sign up for either or both).

Supercharged Grades: Rising K-6th

Course Description: Supercharged highlights 54 world-changing inventors, all
inductees into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, who share stories of
perseverance, collaboration, and creativity throughout the week.
This program encourages children to think outside the box for new and innovative ways to solve problems with
whatever materials they have available. Students will utilize everyday items and use them as the building blocks of
their imagination to overcome any challenges that come their way. The sky really is the limit at Camp Invention!
Throughout the week the following modules will be covered:
Creative Problem Solving: Children team up to rebuild ships and design underwater equipment in DEEP SEA
MYSTERY™.
STEM Application: In DIY ORBOT™, participants explore circuit boards, motors and gears as they design a
remote-control bot to take on obstacles from sports to dance.
Innovation: Children collaborate with inventor superheroes and take on roles of engineers, fabricators and
innovators to conquer villains in INNOVATION FORCE™.
Confidence: Kids become successful entrepreneurs in FARM TECH™, as they code bots to turn a polluted
wasteland into a money-making machine and create devices to save animals.

Junior Physicians’ Academy Grades: Rising 1st -5th
Course Description: In this weeklong camp, children will have hands-on fun as they learn about
scientific equipment that is near and dear to them- the human body! Campers will explore the
science behind cells, organs, muscles, and bones as they navigate through the systems that make
up our astonishing anatomy. Microslide viewers will aid in catching a glimpse of the tiny cellular machines that
our bodies need to function. Interactive experiments will develop a further understanding of our organ systems,
including our nervous, respiratory, circulatory, and digestive systems. Children will construct model cells, make
“Mad Mucus, build stethoscopes and lung models, and work together to assemble a model skeleton for an
entertaining and educational week of camp! Is there a Doctor in the House?
Crayola® Artist’s Passport Camp Grades: Rising 1st -5th

Course Description: Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure! Explore far-off places
and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan
to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by
local artists and artisans. Make different masterpieces each week such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses,
and more! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.
Junior Minecraft® Grades: Rising 2nd-4th

Course Description: Experience the wonderful world of Minecraft. Construct your own virtual world in a
sandbox-like environment by using iPads to challenge your mind and create your own adventures. This fun
and engaging camp will spark interests, foster creativity and help you maximize your learning potential. No
prior experience with Minecraft or iPads necessary. All skill levels welcome.

Creature Creator Robots Grades: Rising 3rd-8th
Course Description: In Snapology's Creature Creator Robotics class, your animal lover will create their own
animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming
as they build insects, dolphins, gorillas, and much more. Your child is sure to have a wild time as they build, learn,
and play.
Combat Robots Grades: Rising 3rd-8th

Course Description: Do you think you can build the strongest and most agile robot? Can your robot win a head-
to-head combat mission? Come learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using LEGO® bricks
and then apply that knowledge to build a robot for friendly competition. You'll have a blast as you play robot
football and complete the hoop challenge in this fun robotics program.
LEGO ROBOTICS- INTO ORBIT MISSIONS Grades: Rising 4th-6th

Course Description: This enrichment class is an inquiry based, minds-on, hands-on learning experience helping
students engage their minds to help prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. The students will be making real life
connections through engaging activities and cooperative learning. The activities will focus around utilizing Legos
and a computer program to explore robotics engineering. This course will focus on designing, building and
programming a robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology and competing on a table-top field. (Must have
prior EV3 software experience)

Roblox® Entrepreneur: Imaginative Game Design Section A-Grades: Rising 3rd-5th
Course Description: Join us for a week of Roblox, one of the fastest-growing game programming platforms
on the planet. In this course, campers use the Roblox Lua code to create 3D worlds. Roblox is an
entertainment platform that allows camper to imagine, create, and play together across millions of user-
created virtual worlds. Join the more than 60 million players per month and top developers making over $1
million a year. The types of gameplay on Roblox are just as limitless as the imagination of the campers
themselves. Join us for a week of pure fun and learning: build the ultimate theme park, compete as a
professional race car driver, star in a fashion show, become a superhero, or simply design a dream home.
Campers will learn what makes a Roblox game a top hit and learn how to implement some of the same
engagement and monetization strategies in their own work. In the end, all campers finish the week able to
publish, share, and play games with friends on any platform from console to mobile. No prior experience is
required. We provide all technology on location.
