Scope: Enrichment courses are available to Moorestown students and non-resident students. Specific
information pertaining to course content is included.

Session 2- July 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Full Day Program: 8:30am-3:30pm (11:45am-12:15pm Lunch)

Before and After Camp Care: Before and after camp child care will be offered for an additional fee. Schedule
the care you require around your child’s favorite camp courses! Please refer to the chart below for pricing.

*Students attending the After Camp Care Program should be picked up promptly. Late fees will be charged
beginning at 6:01pm. The fee for late pick up is $20, per child, per 15 minutes. Chronic lateness may result in
student dismissal without a refund.

Don’t miss out on our early registration discount! Full day and Mix and Match classes are reduced $25 for
participants registered and paid by March 31, 2019. Half day classes are reduced $15 for participants
registered and paid by March 31, 2019!

In-person registration: Bring your completed registration form (p.27) and payment to the Administration
Building, 803 North Stanwick Road, between 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday.

*The Board of Education reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Should this occur,
participants will be notified of any changes in the class offerings via phone or e-mail. If the class is scheduled to
run, there will be no tuition refunded after May 15, 2019. Any classes cancelled by the district will be refunded in
full. Please note convenience fees for online payment are non-refundable.

Transportation: There is no transportation available for the Enrichment Program.

Code of Behavior:
All students in the Moorestown Summer Enrichment Camp Program should follow all of the policies of
Moorestown Township Public Schools. Students who refuse to abide by these rules will be given one warning
before dismissal from the program. Students dismissed in such cases will not be entitled to a refund of tuition.

Course Description: Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach
the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands, or
discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is
sure to have a great time.

Cool Kids Summer Cooking Camp Grades: Rising K- 6th

Course Description: Join me for an introduction to cooking. Get ready for a delicious and
educational camp. We will create Fruit Rainbow Pizzas, make ice cream in a bag, and test out
No Bake summer recipes! Learn to make your own healthy energy bites and yummy smoothies. Practice counting
and spelling with pretzels. Enjoy some summer fun with friends creating your own mini Jell-O Aquariums and

Course Description: Travel to the Nether with Snapology, but watch out for those creepers! Come join us as we
bring Minecraft® to life using LEGO® bricks. Create your own world, including animals, creepers, and your very

Junior Drone Pilots Grades: Rising1st -2nd


Class Meets: Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: Junior Drone Pilots is specifically designed for campers with little to no experience flying
drones. We use the safest and most reliable drone products on the market, including the Parrot™ drones for
enhanced safety and most of all, fun. Campers will learn the basics of drone technology and safety before taking to
the air. Through the use of iPad flight simulators and clear instructions on basic flying maneuvers, young Drobots’
pilots will experience a program filled with excitement, games, challenges, and learning. Campers work all week
long to prepare for the most enjoyable part of the week: the Ultimate Drone Games that include events such as: Tic-
Tac-Drone, Drone Darts, Duck-Duck-Drone, and more. All campers go home with interactive workbooks and
plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and
the social responsibilities of flying drones are included in this program.

Kids in the Kitchen – Healthy Cooking Camp Grades: Rising 1st-5th

Course Description: This signature cooking program will lay a solid foundation of cooking skills to
last a lifetime. Children will learn to make healthy snacks, breakfasts, lunches and dinners for
him/herself. This is a great core cooking program for kids age 6-11 who enjoy cooking or just want to learn some
important kitchen skills and build confidence in the kitchen. Camp also includes nutrition activities and fitness.

Course Description: This enrichment class is an exploratory hands-on experience. This course will
involve creating a product out of Legos by following a set of criteria. This will be an opportunity for upcoming 2 nd
and 3rd graders to work collaboratively to create a LEGO® product.

Bubble Bonanza! Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: From Engineering Adventures created by the Museum of Science, Boston,
kids will explore how bubbles behave and investigate the properties of different materials as they
engineer all kinds of bubble wands using the Engineering Design Process. The week wraps up with a
Bubble Bonanza Showcase where kids demonstrate their creations!

Ultimate Drone Obstacle Challenge Grades: Rising 3rd -5th


Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: Ultimate Drone Obstacle Challenge is specifically designed for both the novice and
experienced drone enthusiasts. This is week is filled with pure action as students enjoy one of the world’s fastest
growing sports, Drone Obstacle Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the
history behind drone racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through various skill challenges and learn
how to perform various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Campers
will use iPads and remote controls to navigate the drone through short and long obstacle courses. Participants will
also create the design and help build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activity and
competition. All campers go home with interactive workbooks and plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and
trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer. Drone safety and the social responsibilities of flying drones
are included in this program.

Macramé with Me Grades: Rising 3rd-8th


Class Meets: Mon.-Fri. 8:30am-11:45am
Course Description: Macramé is a form of knotting, similar to weaving. Each day we will create new
projects to take home with yarn, twine and beads. The projects we will create include: friendship bracelets,
key chains, dream catchers, plant hangers and an owl wall art hanging. Students will master the art of the
square knot as well as various combination of half-hitches to create fun projects to take home.

Roblox® and 3D Game Development Section A-Grades: Rising 3rd-5th
Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm Section B- Grades: Rising 6th-8th
Course Description: Roblox offers students the opportunity to actively engage in the creative process and learn
fundamental coding, design, and entrepreneurial skills that will give them the confidence to excel in this week of
camp and beyond. Campers will learn how to use the Roblox engine to create games using the Lua programming
language. Our creation tools and educational content will be used to expose campers to unique skills as they
collaborate in teams to design blueprints and test their games. In the end, all campers finish the week with a
published title that can be shared with families and friends. No prior experience is required. We provide all
technology on location.
Note: Drobots believes in the educational philosophy that students learn best when collaborating with their peers.
From a social standpoint, campers learn teamwork, cooperation, and the importance of sharing and implementing
ideas. This philosophy has been supported by some the world’s leading educators and technologists and backed by
extensive academic research. However, campers may ask to work by themselves upon request.

Course Description: Do you have a sweet tooth? Do you love Math and Science? What if I told
you that you could enjoy both at the same time? If I got your attention, then this mouth-watering class is for you!
Conduct hands-on experiments and activities using your favorite treats to explore the worlds of Math and Science.
Topics that are covered include statistics, fractions, decimals, percents, chemistry, and physics. This class will be sure
to be a delectable treat during your summer months! (Accommodations can be made for food allergies as needed.)

will team up to write tasty cupcake recipes and learn how to measure and combine ingredients to make the ultimate
tasty treats! Each day, we will bake a new recipe that your child helps create using the freshest ingredients! As the
week progresses, the creations will be more and more creative and detailed. The group will be divided into two
teams with a “championship bake off” at the end of the week! Your child will bring home a cookbook including all
of the recipes from the week and plenty of scrumptious treats!

You be the Judge: Introduction to Mock Trial Grades: Rising 7th-12th


Class Meets: Mon.-Fri. 12:15pm-3:30pm
Course Description: Do you like to argue and debate? Then join this highly interactive and
engaging camp where students get to be the lawyers, judge and jury. Through arguing and adjudicating mock trail
scenarios students will gain a better understanding of the law and how it is applied while practicing critical
thinking skills. They will gain greater confidence with public speaking by assuming the roles of attorneys and
witnesses in a fictional criminal or civil trial. Participants experience first-hand the difficulties that lawyers, judges,
and juries face in determining which facts are relevant and what legal arguments are effective.

Course Description: Let’s have summer fun exploring nature and learning about gardening. Delve
into your artistic side as we make DIY Bird Feeders, create an Outdoor Fairy Garden, venture on a Nature
Scavenger Hunt and preserve nature discoveries with a collage. You’ll also find your inner hippie with Nature Tie
Dye Shirts that you can show off later.

StemQuest Jr.: Aliens v. Wizards Grades: Rising 1st-2nd


Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: StemQuest unplugs campers from the computer screen in this action-packed, story-based
program. Throughout the week campers will be constantly on the move as they experiment and play. StemQuest
has intentionally extracted the wide-array of exhilarating challenges and mysteries from popular gaming apps and
turned it all into a live adventure. Campers will use age-appropriate rovers, bots, drones, and autonomous creative
technology to jump over walls, push down obstacles, lift up boulders, and navigate through galaxies. Teams of
campers work together in indoor, outdoor and open-spaced “worlds” throughout the week. In doing so, campers
utilize life skills such as: collaborative problem solving, design, and curiosity, to outwit, out-build, and out-smart
the program instructor, The Wizard.

Course Description: Taught by Moorestown High School Theater directors, this course focuses on the basics of

Course Description: This program is filled with pure action as students enjoy one of the world’s fastest growing
sports, Drone Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the history behind drone
racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through various skill challenges and learn how to perform
various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Flight squads post up
against one another in friendly competition when they race themselves and the clock. Students will first maneuver
the drone through creative obstacle courses before taking on the challenge of flying for speed. Rolling and jumping
drones are also used in this program. Participants contribute fully in this program as they create the design and help
build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activities and competition. All campers go home

Course Description: Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration!
We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets,
moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Campers will investigate the mechanics of
unique flying machines, such as balloon-copters, boomerangs, and mini hovercrafts. Children will learn
how early “pilots” navigated throughout space as they create their own sextant and sundial. Kids will get firsthand
experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut.
Kids will love to build their own Mad Science rocket, and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket
launch. Campers will have lots of projects to make and many cool NASA take homes, including a gravity assisted
launcher, a Shuttle Copter, and more! Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these
