SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMP
Scope: Enrichment courses are available to Moorestown students and non-resident students. Specific
information pertaining to course content is included.
Session 1- June 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th Afternoon Program: 12:15pm-3:30pm
Session 2- July 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Full Day Program: 8:30am-3:30pm (11:45am-12:15pm Lunch)
Session 3- July 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th * Look for “Mix and Match” options, which allow you to
schedule two different classes in the same day and save!
Session 4- July 22nd , 23rd , 24th, 25th, 26th Monday-Friday Full Day Price: $410 before March 31st
Monday-Friday Full Day Price: $435 after March 31st
*Please have your child bring a snack for half day classes and a
lunch for full day/ Mix and Match programs.
Before and After Camp Care: Before and after camp child care will be offered for an additional fee. Schedule
the care you require around your child’s favorite camp courses! Please refer to the chart below for pricing.
*Students attending the After Camp Care Program should be picked up promptly. Late fees will be charged
beginning at 6:01pm. The fee for late pick up is $20, per child, per 15 minutes. Chronic lateness may result in
student dismissal without a refund.

Don’t miss out on our early registration discount! Full day and Mix and Match classes are reduced $25 for
participants registered and paid by March 31, 2019. Half day classes are reduced $15 for participants
registered and paid by March 31, 2019!
In-person registration: Bring your completed registration form (p.27) and payment to the Administration
Building, 803 North Stanwick Road, between 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday.

*Mail in registrations must be postmarked by March 31st for early registration discount to apply.
*The Board of Education reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient registration. Should this occur,
participants will be notified of any changes in the class offerings via phone or e-mail. If the class is scheduled to
run, there will be no tuition refunded after May 15, 2019. Any classes cancelled by the district will be refunded in
full. Please note convenience fees for online payment are non-refundable.
Code of Behavior:
All students in the Moorestown Summer Enrichment Camp Program should follow all of the policies of
Moorestown Township Public Schools. Students who refuse to abide by these rules will be given one warning
before dismissal from the program. Students dismissed in such cases will not be entitled to a refund of tuition.

LEGO Builders- Come have Fun with LEGOS!

Course Description: This enrichment class is an exploratory hands-on experience. This course will
involve creating a product out of Legos by following a set of criteria. This will be an opportunity for upcoming 2 nd

Roblox® and 3D Game Development Section A-Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: Roblox offers students the opportunity to actively engage in the creative process and learn
fundamental coding, design, and entrepreneurial skills that will give them the confidence to excel in this week of
camp and beyond. Campers will learn how to use the Roblox engine to create games using the Lua programming
language. Our creation tools and educational content will be used to expose campers to unique skills as they
collaborate in teams to design blueprints and test their games. In the end, all campers finish the week with a
published title that can be shared with families and friends. No prior experience is required. We provide all
technology on location.

Cookie Wars Grades: Rising 6th-12th

Course Description: Does your child like to use their imagination and creativity in the kitchen? In this course, we
will team up to write tasty cookie recipes and learn how to measure and combine ingredients to make the ultimate
tasty treats! Each day, we will bake a new recipe that your child helps create using the freshest ingredients! As the
week progresses, the creations will be more and more creative and detailed. The group will be divided into two
teams with a “championship bake off” at the end of the week! Your child will bring home a cookbook including all
of the recipes from the week and plenty of scrumptious treats!

Course Description: Taught by Moorestown High School Theater directors, this course focuses on the basics of
musical theater with work on acting, singing, and dancing using scenes and songs from popular Broadway/Disney
productions. The week will culminate in an informal performance of learned material. (Different material will be

Course Description: The ultimate Artificial Intelligence (AI) camp. Can you tell the
difference between a human and a robot? Learn about the design and programming behind
modern digital assistant software like Alexa, Siri, and Cortana in this innovative camp.
Students build their own artificial intelligence personality that can answer questions,
complete requests, and chat about topics of their choosing using real HTML and
JavaScript code. No prior experience is required. We provide all technology on location.
Campers will be thrilled to bring home their digital portfolio at the end of the week and continue to work on their
AI creation or to share with friends or family.

Course Description: Edgar Degas, a famous artist, once said, 'Art is not what you see, but what you make others
see'. As your child learns about different types of art and the periods they were created, students will be
interpreting what they see and creating their own works of art using LEGO® bricks. Through Snapology’s
interactive Art History class, children will learn about Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Wright’s
Falling Water, and many more!

Drone Racing & Obstacle Course Challenge Grades: Rising 6th -8th
Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: This program is filled with pure action as students enjoy one of the world’s fastest growing
sports, Drone Racing. Campers will first learn about the basic safety of drone flying and the history behind drone
racing as a sport. From there, campers will progress through various skill challenges and learn how to perform
various exercises and maneuvers to become familiar with the drone’s speed and agility. Flight squads post up
against one another in friendly competition when they race themselves and the clock. Students will first maneuver
the drone through creative obstacle courses before taking on the challenge of flying for speed. Rolling and jumping
drones are also used in this program. Participants contribute fully in this program as they create the design and help
build the obstacle course in preparation for the last day’s final activities and competition. All campers go home
with plenty of Drobots Company keepsakes and trinkets so the memories last long beyond the summer.

NASA & Mad Science: Future Space Explorers Grades: Rising 1st-5th
Class Meets: Mon-Fri. 8:30am-3:30pm
Course Description: Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration!
We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets,
moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Campers will investigate the mechanics of
unique flying machines, such as balloon-copters, boomerangs, and mini hovercrafts. Children will learn
how early “pilots” navigated throughout space as they create their own sextant and sundial. Kids will get firsthand
experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut.
Kids will love to build their own Mad Science rocket, and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket
launch. Campers will have lots of projects to make and many cool NASA take homes, including a gravity assisted
launcher, a Shuttle Copter, and more! Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these
activities for Summer Camps. This Camp is Out of this World!

Potions, Powders & Polymers Grades: Rising 1st-5th

Course Description: Is it science or magic? You’ll find out! In our full day camp you’ll create erupting foam monsters,
conduct amazing air pressure experiments, dig for hidden treasures, investigate the science of illusions and build
spectroscopes to view the spectrum of different types of light. We’ll also reveal many mysteries of science as we
investigate creepy creatures, learn troll tricks, capture a rainbow in a bottle, make instant snow, mix up glowing
slime and conduct lab tests on mystery substances.

LEGO Advanced- EV3 ROBOTICS Grades: Rising 4th-6th

This enrichment class is an inquiry based, minds-on, hands-on learning experience helping students engage their
minds to help prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. The students will be making real life connections through
engaging activities and cooperative learning. The activities will focus around utilizing Legos and a computer
program to explore robotics engineering. This course will utilize LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology /EV3
software. (Should have prior experience with NXT of EV3 Software)

Innovation: Children collaborate with inventor superheroes and take on roles of engineers, fabricators and
innovators to conquer villains in INNOVATION FORCE™.
Confidence: Kids become successful entrepreneurs in FARM TECH™, as they code bots to turn a polluted

Course Description: In this weeklong camp, children will have hands-on fun as they learn about
scientific equipment that is near and dear to them- the human body! Campers will explore the
science behind cells, organs, muscles, and bones as they navigate through the systems that make
up our astonishing anatomy. Microslide viewers will aid in catching a glimpse of the tiny cellular machines that
our bodies need to function. Interactive experiments will develop a further understanding of our organ systems,
including our nervous, respiratory, circulatory, and digestive systems. Children will construct model cells, make
“Mad Mucus, build stethoscopes and lung models, and work together to assemble a model skeleton for an

Course Description: In Snapology's Creature Creator Robotics class, your animal lover will create their own
animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming

Roblox® Entrepreneur: Imaginative Game Design Section A-Grades: Rising 3rd-5th

Course Description: Join us for a week of Roblox, one of the fastest-growing game programming platforms
on the planet. In this course, campers use the Roblox Lua code to create 3D worlds. Roblox is an
entertainment platform that allows camper to imagine, create, and play together across millions of user-
created virtual worlds. Join the more than 60 million players per month and top developers making over $1
million a year. The types of gameplay on Roblox are just as limitless as the imagination of the campers
themselves. Join us for a week of pure fun and learning: build the ultimate theme park, compete as a
professional race car driver, star in a fashion show, become a superhero, or simply design a dream home.
Campers will learn what makes a Roblox game a top hit and learn how to implement some of the same
engagement and monetization strategies in their own work. In the end, all campers finish the week able to
publish, share, and play games with friends on any platform from console to mobile. No prior experience is
required. We provide all technology on location.
Note: Drobots believes in the educational philosophy that students learn best when collaborating with their
peers. From a social standpoint, campers learn teamwork, cooperation, and the importance of sharing and
implementing ideas. This philosophy has been supported by some of the world’s leading educators and
technologists and backed by extensive academic research. However, campers may ask to work by themselves
upon request.
