– Operating and capital funding is accounted

for in the Transportation Trust Fund (TTF)
forecast

– Planned capital funding is included in the

Consolidated Transportation Program

– Each legislative session, DLS prepares and

presents a budget analysis explaining
changes in WMATA operating and capital
budgets and identifying any surplus/shortfall
between the WMATA budget proposal and
the grant amounts in the Maryland budget

– DLS evaluates the impact of proposed

legislation on the TTF
