XI MATHEMATICS
M.M:100 DURATION: 3 HOURS

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

 All questions are compulsory.


 The question paper consists of 29 questions divided into 4 sections
A, B , C and D.
 Section A comprises of 24 questions of one mark each, Section B
comprises 08 questions of two marks, Section C comprises 11
questions of four marks each and section D comprises 06 questions
of six marks each.
 All questions in the section A are to be answered in one word, one
sentence or as per the exact requirement of the question.
 There are no overall choice. However, internal choice has been
provided in 4 questions of four marks and 2 questions of 6 marks.
You have to attempt only one of the alternatives in all such
questions.
 Use of calculators is not permitted. You may ask for Logarithmic
tables, if required.

1. If A = ∅ , how many elements does P(A) have?

from A to B.

move in 40 minutes? (Use 𝜋=3.14)
10. Determine n if 2nC3 : nC3 = 12 : 1
11. If 3 (2n + 2) – 8n – 9 is divisible by 8 .Prove that: p(1) is true.
12. Find first four terms of A.P. If nth term (an) = 5 n + 1 .
SECTION C

14. Find the number of ways of selecting 9 balls from 6 red balls, 5
white balls and 5 blue balls, if each selection consists of 3 balls of
each colour.

26. In a survey of 60 people, it was found that 25 people read

both H and I, 11 read both H and T, 8 read both T and I, 3 read all
three newspapers. Find:
(i) The number of people who read at least one of the
newspapers.
(ii) The number of people who read exactly one newspaper.
