1 Scope
This standard applies preferably to equipment for steelworks and rolling mills. It specifies dimensions of welded double anchor
plates. These anchor plates are designed for T-head bolts according to SN 425 and property class 5.6.

2 Dimensions
The dimensions indicated in figure 1 shall be complied with; the shape of the double anchor plates may be different from that
shown in the figure. The protection casing can also be made with pipe sections instead of with bent plates. Table 1 shows the
dimensions of the double anchor plates of sizes 24 to 160.
The degree of accuracy shall be as specified in SN 200-3 and DIN EN ISO 13920 – BF.

3 Designation
Designation of a double anchor plate according to SN 227-2, size 48, and bolt distance k = 290 mm for T-head bolts of
property class 5.6:

Double anchor plate SN 227-2 - 48 x 290 – 5.6

4 Material
Anchor plate made of S355JR+N according to DIN EN 10025-2.
Protection casing and pipe made of steel.

5 Execution
Cut out by flame, deburred and welded, with continuous fillet weld of thickness a = 3 mm (according to DIN EN 22553).
The protection casing can also be made of pipe sections.

6 Marking
Thread size, e.g. M48, and T-head bolt spacing, e.g. k = 290, of bolts of property class 5.6 shall be permanently marked on
the double anchor plates with weld beads.
Marking: SN 227-2 – 48 x 290 – 5.6

7 Installation example
Figure 2 below shows the installation example of a double anchor plate.
