• Hydrostatic Weighing
BIO ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE ANALYSIS (BIA)

Impedance to flow of electric current is related to body’s fat content.

Maximum Capacity of 270 kgs.

Age range of 5 to 99 years.

Measures Weight, Body fat %, Fat Mass, Fat Free Mass,


Muscle Mass, Total Body Water, BMR, Metabolic Age, Bone Mass,
Visceral Fat Rating and BMI of an individual.

Normal value is 6 lbs for women and around 8 lbs for men.

VISCERAL FAT is the amount of fat around organs. An


indicator of Diabetes, CVD and Metabolic Syndrome.
TOTAL BODY WATER (TBW)
Intracellular and Extracellular.

TBW for a lean adult male is 60 – 65 % and lean adult female


is 50 – 55 %.

A person considered fat has a TBW of 45 % or lower.


BASAL METABOLIC RATE (BMR)
BMR is affected by various factors like Age, Gender, Sleep,
Hormones, Genes, Mental and Physical Stress etc.

BMR of your chronological age group.

Eg… If your biological age is 20, if your metabolic age is nearing


or equal to your biological age then it is a sign of good health
and nutrition.

ƒ BMI is calculated as a ratio of weight in kgs divided by
height in sq meters.
